@BulbasaurusRex which yeah.. I think people think of gbc as it's own console because it lasted a long time, but it really was gb 1.75 (gb lite is 1.5).
First, I think it's weird that you segregate out GBC, but decidedly didn't do the same with DSi & New 3DS. Both of these systems had the same basic concept that the GBC did... let's take the old system and give it some new features. DSi I would rate worse than GBC, I think it only had a couple of exclusives and I can't even remember what they were, at least GBC did the turning games into color bit (and though there may have only been a few exclusives, which were amazing, the GBC did actually go back and have a few dozen classic games that ran in better color than normal color emulation allowed).
Second, while it seems very likely that the Switch will be remembered as a better system than the SNES, I feel like it is too recent to make that judgement. Hell, we've only seen 1.5 years of it, it could fall off a cliff after today (doubtful but it could). I think it is the first console that can realistically challenge SNES, but it isn't there yet. The SNES was soooo goood. Looking back on the catalog, it is a joke that there was actually a SNES vs Genesis debate, the Gen had some decent games, but it was nothing compared to the SNES.
I tend to agree with the rest... the middle was jumbled up a bit... NES was a bit low, I agree it hasn't aged well but the games are still classics and totally playable (unlike the atari which is completely unplayable) (well for the most part).
Also N64 hasn't aged as well as its contemporaries? I actually think it has aged far better than the PSX. I view PSX games largely as unplayable, the 3D is so bad, I'd rather go back and play NES games. N64, because it was the more powerful system, is a much more playable beast. It surely has jankiness sometimes but it does better than its contemporaries.
