Re: AM2R Developer Encourages Players to Support Metroid II On the eShop and to Avoid 'Hate' Against Nintendo

@VanillaLake I've looked through most of them now. Looks like hasn't been too fun on your end. The reason i acted the way i did was i saw ur comment and rooted it as one of the main problems. Don't want people to think i'm trolling them or anything. But as someone whose not a metroid fan, its fun lurking, reading through comments and people's opinions on them. Sorry again though

@VanillaLake I thought it was silly that Demise was trying to flame you so i was making fun of him. If people try it, i like to shame them for flaming. Looks like it was taken the opposite way. Anyways my apologies, my intent was not to put to offend you or anything. I saw an insult and i had reacted. But Onion was right. Clearly i overreacted and doesn't need further explanation. I've done what i said not to and derailed the chat enough.

@VanillaLake Read above, I said he wasn't innocent. I am repeating your comments because you act like you weren't included and I've already explained how. That included reading your comments. You were the one who made them, and insulted him as well. You're guilty, he's guilty, guess ill look at everyone else in this thread to see who is guilty.
Nice job playing victim at the end of that message. It's so unfair that i read your rude messages in one post for the chat to see. It's so unfair what demise did to me. And nice job not answering how you tried to get heated in a finally peaceful chat.
Edit: The whole reason i see you're arguing with me is that I said your comment was rude and you didn't like it. And by arguing with you and calling your comment unneeded i'm somehow defending what he's said to you.

@VanillaLake To be honest, you don't look like someone who can be criticized well. I'm not referencing any of the past posts. Just the one's that i have had with you. Saying probably mirroring his own complex, you can't honestly believe that it's not rude to another user. If you're making remarks about another user, you are being rude. That is not a personal attack. That is not name calling. I am respectfully asking you to use your words better.

And im glad to see that chat has calmed down. You did nothing, but inflame it and make it worse along with demise. "Probably mirroring his own complex." Chat had finally started to settle down and after my comment. Why did you try to invoke an action from him and continue arguing? I'm starting to think your intentions are not really good. I defended a user, then myself because you can't take criticism. You got heated and reacted to me and demise and tried to act like i'm making chat a worse place. I wonder who is guilty.

Just reading through your comments.
Called yourself not pretentious and immediately called him pretentious.
Called him a 5 yr old troll and compared him to kirk and then mentioning intelligence like that's going to matter. All it does is invoke a heated reply. Goes back to what i said in my last comment. Arguing just gets derailed into a circle of name calling while still trying to prove one's own point. Then a sheep which i don't really get the point of calling someone a fanboy. Got called a nindy fanboy not too long ago, but i'm just a fan of video games.
Wasn't trying to put anyone on blast, but without looking much more, it's clear it wasn't just one user.
So is this the whole story? Well for your argument anyways. I am sure demise isn't innocent and that other people were guilty of this. My comment was directed at everyone to chill out and not even bothering giving them a response to try to prove yourself. And don't act like your explanation was a mere explanation. Was clearly ill mannered towards demise.

@VanillaLake And you did so rudely, last part of what you said was completely unneeded. And even if someone calls you ignorant or doesn't like your opinion, then who cares? You don't need to reply the same way. Like seriously, we are all (mostly) adults. No need to reply with name-calling or insulting the other person's intelligence.

"Probably mirroring his own complex."
Well i disagree i guess, was an obvious jab at someone and it was entirely unneeded.

Guys whats with the arguing. Samus recently was playable in her own Nintendo licensed game. The game was called smash bros 4 and she is a great c+ character. I recommend try playing that. it even has metroids as enemies that you have to fight through. You're welcome; now feel free to use self control and not prattle on about which users have the lowest intelligence.

@Lyokira Sticker star was a huge step back. There are many reasons i didn't enjoy it besides not being an rpg. But, I'll can start with the battle system. It returned to its typical turn based combat (which was nice), and removed all experience points replacing them with coins. This effectively made combat entirely pointless and a waste of time. With buying stickers with coins, and using stickers in combat, there is no incentive to attack anything besides bosses.

And attacking/defeating bosses was incredibly easy once you found powerful stickers and stocked up with what it gives you throughout the world. The only reason you fought bosses was to progress through the story.
And...the story. It was easily one of the most uninspired lazy attempts i have seen. Mario stories are pretty stereotypical (peach kidnap by bowser go save her), but past entries have proven that it can be more than that. Embark on grand adventure, save the world etc. And the worlds were filled with personality and landscapes. It was fun exploring and meeting new characters and gaining new allies with you. It included extra side quests and many new characters to interact with. Sticker star was so generic. It didn't add anything new or try to expand upon itself in any way. Every character is a boring red toad. And the world was dissolved into stages and was no longer open. Not to forget, the almost zero amount of dialogue after the opening scene.

The new game looks like an improvement i can agree with you. Although, I can only see color splash ending up just as mediocre. It kept its horrid combat system and its linear progression (advance through levels). Paper aesthetic looks excellent, but it seems thats all Nintendo believes the series to be. I'm hoping i am wrong and that it's better than my expectations, but I'm not expecting much. It seems mario/luigi has replaced it has the sole rpg.

@Yorumi It's a cheap title to add to the wii u's catalog of games and also a reason to justify buying amiibo. Main series Animal Crossing has much more mass market appeal than metroid. That's pretty given. Heck, they even started developing a mobile game for it.
And i don't see any reason they'd make animal crossing for the wii u with the NX coming unless its a dual release.

Re: Video: New Metroid Prime: Federation Force Trailer Arrives, and It's Still Fighting Dislikes

@Yorumi Nintendo of course still looks at fan feedback and I'm sure they are aware of the negative feedback it is getting. Pretty sure Reggie has compared it's initial reception to windwaker, but that could have been codename steam instead. But fans act like this is the worse thing in the world and hate the game for looking way too different from what they wanted.

Feedback factors in but their main focus is how it is going to sell. I am sure this is the reason the wii u never received its main series title. It would've sold next to nothing and it didn't make sense from a business standpoint, no matter how much fans wanted. Launching it on the 3ds makes more sense from their standpoint. From what ive seen, this game has more of a chance on appealing to casual consumers with a mobile shooter crave and some few metroid fans (in metroid universe and all).

Re: Nintendo Issues Takedown Notices for Impressive Fan-Made Metroid II Remake, AM2R

@Kirk Was that an argument? I guess by that logic you are a soured disappointed nintendo hating crying fanboy as evident from your first post.
Like it or not, Nintendo has all rights to do whatever they want with their series. And they couldn't do anything on fanart? Not to long ago Nintendo copyrighted images on tumblr because they disliked the inappropriate depictions of their characters.
I guess he can fight it all he wants but its not going to do him much. I don't see nintendo suddenly changing their minds.
Oh and saying that Nintendo is in the right (which they are) doesn't mean you agree with their every decision. That's just silly logic.

Oh and no, i don't play only nintendo nor do i agree with everything they do as a business. I have a vita and ps4 as well not that it should matter. Name-calling people for any reason is sad and shows the other person's intelligence. It doesn't do anything to help your argument. There's no reason to get heated by someone having an opinion. Although, you were pretty upset from looking at your first comment i imagine. My comment as Sega was more of a jab at them as a company; try learning from their mistakes and not using them as a model on what how to do right things. My advice, stay off the internet.

Re: Niantic Explains Decision to Stop Unofficial Apps From Accessing Pokémon GO's Servers

@BensonUii If it didn't work, i don't see why they don't try to fix it. I'm hoping as more updates come out, they'll try to continue improving itself. Since its based off catching pokemon in the world, having a way to track easily is essential and getting closer to each pokemon feels very rewarding for when you finally catch the bugger. If they communicated better and explained what they were focusing on it wouldve helped a lot. I remember they called it confusing when its just niantic not communicating and confusing fans.

Re: Niantic Explains Decision to Stop Unofficial Apps From Accessing Pokémon GO's Servers

RandomBlue

@BensonUii It still "works" but its much less user friendly and twice as difficult to find a nearby pokemon. The problem is that instead of working to improve their own game and tracking, they completely removed the 3 steps while also shutting down 3rd parties like pokevision. Which is fine since they dont want people "cheating" but they have made tracking much less accurate and less accessible. Causes more frustration than fun.
