@BlaizeV Yeah, I agree with you. Personally underwhelmed with the game (and even system as a whole). Take away free roam and all they have done is turned the 3 laps around the same track into one track that is long, mostly straight and boring. Add to this that many Switch 1 games play worse on the Switch 2 (try Xenoblade 2 for instance) and I’m pretty sure I’ll be returning my system before the return window at BestBuy closes.
@GravyThief if you want to play Dread using a dpad you could try a controller like the M30 or sobering that’s lets you switch the input of the dpad to the left control stick (although without the right stick it’s a little tricky to aim in Metroid Dread). Controllers like the M30 work great too for games like Links Awakening that also force you to use the left stick instead of the dpad, as you can change the input of the dpad and use it instead of the left stick.
@Spider-Kev Probably just some sort of misunderstanding I’m guessing. Obviously you cannot plug a Wii Classic Controller Pro into the Switch dock without an adapter. Anyway, the adapter works great! I grew up in the NES days, so lots of playtime with the NES and SNES Dpads. Even so ever since first using the Wii Classic Controller Pro (which actually was only a few years ago when I bought a used WiiU as I gave up gaming altogether during the PS2/ GameCube days) the Wii Classic Pro is my pad of choice without question when it comes to any games you can play with a Dpad (I have most of the 8bitdo controllers too. The only one I sometimes prefer using depending on the mood is the M30…plus you can change the Dpad on that to function as a stick, so you can play games like Links awakening with an actual Dpad as well, which is great!). Anyway, sorry for the waffle. If you have a Wii Classic Controller Pro lying around and prefer it, I highly recommend the Brook adapter. I have two of them and they have been flawless for me (though I’ve only ever used them wired). The other 6 Brook adapters I have for other systems have also worked flawlessly and for years now). Definitely great quality products and company!

Re: Fan-Made 'Link's Awakening DX HD' Port Taken Down By Nintendo
For informational and educational purposes only: Interesting how Nintendo can’t scrub the game from Internet Archive. Just googled it. It’s there.
Re: Zelda Boss Says A "Direct Sequel" To Tears Of The Kingdom Is Unlikely
Maybe we could get a sequel to Breath of the Wild? That would be awesome!

I’ve been using the Wii Classic Controller Pro…an absolute divine controller for 2D or classic retro games
