I run a Mario kart club at our local school, bought a switch 2 and MK world on launch day for them (well, mostly for me but with them in mind) and to say the mood was flat when we fired it up is an understatement 😬 We’ve gone back to MK8 on request of the 30+ members of the club 🤷🏻‍♂️ if we could just do 4 player, 3 lap tracks on random, they’d be happy. I thought the tour bit would be a separate mode 😭

I loved these games on Wii back in the day, genuinely felt like they were the best Mario games ever made, I never really liked the “waving the wand to catch stars” mechanic, but it worked ok on the original wiimotes. Was really looking forward to playing Galaxy 1 again when All Stars came out but having the switch joycons constantly lose their tracking & having to press a button to centre it again made the “waggle the wand to catch the stars” mechanic totally annoying and I never managed a full playthrough. Is this any better on Switch 2? I wish I could just turn that feature off altogether tbh 😂

I’m a teacher and I run a Mario Kart club at lunchtimes at the school I work at, managed to bag a Switch 2 pre-order and everyone’s very excited so I’m happy 😊 bit of a shame 4 player is still in 30fps but no big deal really, we’re so used to it anyway. frame rate was probably half that when I was playing MK64 when I was in school and we still loved it! Game looks fun I’m looking forward to it 😄

I just returned my five year old joycons. The left one was drifting, the right one was working fine but I thought I’d sent it anyway. Collected on Monday, received a new pair on Thursday, no charge.

I was really looking forward to this but unfortunately started feeling motion sick within a few minutes 😭

I’ve literally wanted this since I first got my switch but if they’re just going to port those sh**ty mobile ports which are in some cases completely broken I’m going to be sad 😞

I love that it’s hybrid! I have a dock for the living room tv and a dock for the bedroom tv, which is absolutely awesome to have & I play it handheld if I’m out for the day with work or if we go on holiday (obviously that doesn’t happen anymore).

I don’t see the point in the Switch lite personally but I guess it suits some people. The hybrid thing is the best idea Nintendo ever had!

Wtf, I thought “yes I’m getting that” then saw £35.99 🤣🤣🤣 what planet are they on?

I purchased an official one from Cex but it was closer to £90 at the time and still second hand! 😬 Having said that it’s been well worth it, mounted on the wall in the bedroom. What I want now is a decent travel dock for when I’m staying in hotels etc Any recommendations? Last I heard third party ones were damaging consoles & I don’t fancy that..

I feel bad saying this as I like the idea, but does anyone think they could make a bit more effort with the packaging? Having just received Flinthook and Mercenary Kings, the back covers have no description and just 3-4 resized images that you can’t even see properly, the manuals again have no text and a series of images that you can barely read. Also things like the game title on the spine not being centrally justified like every other title is just annoying. I hope they make more effort with the £100+ collectors editions... what I have is good but just has a bit of a “bootleg” feel to it 😬

Hopefully when Night Trap arrives they will have at least taken the time to write a bit about the history on the back cover?
