Re: Random: Brie Larson's Back In A New Metroid Dread Instagram Ad

Metroid does not need to sully its reputation with a movie, especially after such a gracious bounceback with Samus Returns and Dread has managed to wash away the embarrassment of the atrocious Other M.

But even if it did, Brie Larson is right about one thing. Samus is a fantastic female character which takes a leading role as a brave, independent, no nonsense space warrior that knows when to get serious. In other words, she is not an insufferable, snarky jackass who incessantly spouts poorly written witticisms at the camera and Mary Sues her way through paper-thin plots, like the characters Brie Larson is used to portray.

A Metroid movie would make more sense as an atmospheric body horror flick than as the Marvel-like tripe some of you want it to be. And an actress like Emily Blunt (or hell, even Kurt Russell himself) would make more sense as Samus than Larson.
