Re: Opinion: Sonic Racing Crossworlds > Mario Kart World, And It's Not Even Close For Me

@MrFrosty having put in a few more hours I must say I've started to dislike the game more and more.
The CPU is horrendous, I can't remember ever just turning of the console mid race (singleplayer only) as with this game.
The CPU will just drive next to you, slamming into you so you can't make a turn.. even if it means that CPU can't either.. so it's just doing it to annoy / take out the player. Same goes as they can just tap the back corner of your car 6 times in a row to drain all your rings (while if you tap a CPU that way you'll bump to a side preventing you from doing the same).
CPU can also for some reason pass you in the level transition.. so you are number one when you hit the portal but the second you get out two CPU players will have passed you?

The weight power up is just as bad as the blue shell in MK and will almost everytime be timed to hit just as you are in a turn so you'll also slam into the wall afterwards.

Read somewhere Sega took a dig at MK that this game is more about skill instead of luck.. don't know what games they were playing but this ain't it.

What I really don't like is you start every race in last place and your rival always starts in first. Feels like the old Cruis'n USA days. It doesn't matter what position you finished last race in it's always "you last, rival first".
Also but that's more of a get used to thing after so many years of Mario Kart, I dislike you start to drift without the little jump.. so I often misjudge the start of the drift.

It will certainly be one of the games I'll play a lot for because it's fun even in short bursts on my Series X but I can't see myself playing it years on from now like I usually do with MK

Re: The Quake Remaster Is Out Now On Nintendo Switch

MrFrosty

I've been waiting for this game since Doom 64 was released on Switch. Finally I could play it everywhere.. and now it's out.. just as I've discovered xcloud on my mobile.. with a 8BitDo controller connected and a higher resolution it now feel a bit hard to go for the Switch version.

(Oh, who am I kidding.. I love this game, probably will end up getting it twice)
