Okay, that's not good to hear. I tend to be annoyed by small things on a game's display, including small scratches on a DS's screen, so black bars does not sound like a good thing at all.
Why couldn't they make it work for both types of TVs like Brawl and Galaxy? I'm pretty annoyed by this.
So it's not squashed or anything? No stretched hud? This is pretty much the only thing that has me worried about the game. If someone could post a spoiler-free photo of the game on an SD TV, that would be great. I'm rather anxious about this.
Finally, some screens! It looks really nice from what I can see, even though it's from a small scan. It looks like a cross between Castlevania 4 and Rondo of Blood which is exactly what I hoped for.
That is true, the U.S. did get Castlevania 3 near the beginning of the year, (I believe it was January or February), although Europe got it first last year. I'm stretching it a bit by calling it a yearly thing, but since Super CV 4 we've had at least one Castlevania every year. Rondo is long overdue, though. :/
This will likely be the yearly Castlevania instead of Rondo, but I guess that's okay. I'll gladly take a new old-school Castlevania (even if it may be a remake of a game I hardly played).

Re: Konami Readying Castlevania Collection For Wii?
Would easily be one of the best compilations ever if true. I'd definitely buy it.
Kinda clashes with the recent rating of Rondo of Blood, though. Assuming it were included that is.
Re: Castlevania: Rondo of Blood
Can't wait for this. $9 for a legendary $100+ game like this is just too awesome.

Re: Review: New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Wii)
I guess I was misinformed when I read it was widescreen-only. Either that or the difference is nonexistant on an SD TV. That's good to know.
Thanks for your timely replies. I can't wait to play this game.

Re: Review: New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Wii)
How does this game look on a Standard Definition TV? I heard it's widescreen-only which is really worrying for me.
Re: Nintendo Download: Fights, Shooters, Sparkles, Vikings, Dragons, Carnivals, Escapes and Card Games (US)
No Castlevania is disappointing, but seeing an update with 2 VC games again is cool.
Re: First Impressions: Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth
I'm glad to hear it supports Gamecube controllers with remappable input, so I can play it with my SNES controller.

Re: Fight in the Street on Virtual Console Later This Month
Which also means yet another year of no Rondo. :/

Re: Castlevania Comes to WiiWare
Saw it coming from a mile away, but it's still great to see it confirmed. Hopefully it will look and sound as good as Contra ReBirth.
First NewSMBWii, then Project Needlemouse, and now this... great stuff all around.
