I am aware that this is an old article but I would like to express my opinion. I've played the original 2009 VN (Girl of the Bakehouse), currently playing the 2013 Tactical RPG that this game is a remake of (Codename: Bakery Girl), as well as being a huge fan of Girls' Frontline that brought me into this series.
I can understand the distaste for the mobile game chibi artstyle as Girls' Frontline (a mobile gacha game, and one of the best) made it relatively mainstream, at least the gacha community.
I can also forgive people who think the name is stupid as the name of the game is very in-tune with the lore of the series such as Collapse Fluid and the Bakery Girl being a reference to the white-haired blue-eyed female protagonist.
This is really for the people that are curious and stumble upon this article and want to learn.
Anyways, I personally am really looking forward to the new story that Girls' Frontline kind of brought new things to the table and the prospect of multiple branching paths that you can hop around sounds awesome! No tactical RPG has given me a better feel of being a guerilla fighter than Codename. Can't wait to see the enhancements.
