Re: Metroid Prime 4 Dev Retro Studios Hires Halo Character Modeller As New Lead Artist

You're not the only one, I'm right there with you on this. I really hope this doesn't indicate that the game (or worse yet, the franchise) is headed in an overly realistic direction. Realistic art styles always feel so generic. They aren't memorable or interesting because they aren't visually unique and don't stand out from the sea of similar-looking games.

Sure, you could do a lot with the rest of the game's design to counter that (ex: suit design, creature design, world design, etc.), but then you're left with an interesting world and bland-looking characters. I think some level of realism would work. A detailed world with an unrealistic artstyle can absolutely work— as is the case with Mario Odyssey.

But in my opinion, part of why Nintendo games stand out, the reason their games and characters are memorable is because none of them adhere to the same realism that nearly every other major company seems to think is the only style.

Re: Class Action Lawsuit Officially Filed Against Nintendo For Switch Joy-Con "Drifting" Issues

@AlternateButtons
There are plenty of others who disagree with this suit, but you're the only one who's actively being aggressive towards other users. You've yet to provide any valid argument that has anything substantial to back it up, whereas your opposition has offered at least a few pieces of evidence. So far your only responses have been simple contrarianism, ignorance, mockery, or stock quips about dusting, user error, or how we should take better care of our hardware. You've offered nothing constructive, and based on the simplistic and repetitive nature of your responses you're either A: trolling or B: too pig-headed to accept the possibility that this is an actual issue.

But I'd be happy to be proven wrong. Please, by all means, respond with something with some actual thought behind it — i.e something other than mockery, ignoring the argument, or one of your three basic repeated statements about dusting, user error, and hardware care.

Re: The Game Sony Tried To Silence Is Getting An Uncensored English Language Release On Switch

I don't really get the appeal of this sort of game— one almost strictly existing for fanservice. I won't lie— I enjoy that sort of thing from time to time, but only in games that actually have something more to them. If this is your thing, then more power to you, I guess. I'm glad to hear that Nintendo's being good about matters of censorship but definitely more concerned about Sony doubling down on their policy— especially with new iterations of my two favorite games on the way as PS4 Exclusives. Fingers crossed that they remain untouched.
