Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Turns to Classics, DLC and amiibo to Keep Fans Hooked

Oh, and by the way, I've been looking around on social media and happened upon a particular opinion about which characters may have featured in the video. Here they are (not arranged in chronological order):

Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem Nintendo Direct 04/01/2015 Video: Recognizable Characters

Marth (The character at the video's beginning, decked out in royal clothing, cape and mechanical-like arm, 0:17)

Severa (In a belly-baring outfit that looks cybernetic, with feathers at the shoulders and hips; also sports unusually long pigtails that make her look like a dark Hatsune Miku, 0:53)

Lyn (Pink dress and recognizable ponytail, although not as long as original game, the girl seen at the trailer's end, 1:06)

Chrom (0:38, at the screen's right side; really can't clarify for certain. Also seems to be in an outfit much like the supposed's protagonist's. Information obtained from external source.)

Eirika (0:34. This is an assumption I'm making because of this character's long, blue hair, which resembles Eirika's. Can't go any further than that because of the mask, also, she seems to be riding a pegasus, which she couldn't do in her original game.)

Tiki (0:52, sports green hair in a similar style, but in a deeper hue compared to the original, also wears some manner of crown/tiara and wears an outfit much like a maiden's.)

What I enjoyed seeing from the Direct:
Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem: Gorgeous visuals, an infectiuos trailer soundtrack and features Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei characters and mechanics like they were never seen before. What is there not to like?

N64 Virtual Console: So hyped for Donkey Kong 64. Hope Nintendo adds more great classics like Kirby 64, Pokemon Stadium 2, 1080 Snowboarding, Mario Party 2 and Custom Robo V2.

Lucas: Praise be to Sakurai for making him return to Smash Bros., albeit being a late entry. That's DLC I'll happily pay for.

Fatal Frame 5: Finally, the first Fatal Frame to come to America in, what now, ages! It may appeal to a niche market, but let's hope this gives Nintendo the boost and confidence to release region-exclusive titles worldwide.

Fire Emblem (if): The first Fire Emblem that contains 2 stories in one game. Hours will be invested.

Smash Bros. Ballot: A nifty way to let Nintendo know what video game characters we'd like to see playable in Smash Bros. Though the site says votes are limited to one per person... one can vote as many times as he/she actually wants.

Mario Kart 8: At 200cc, those cars must be going so fast they could break the sound barrier. Can't wait to handle such intense speeds!

Disappointments:
Smash Bros. Costume DLC: Why pay for costumes that serve no purpose other than aesthetics? Sorry, but not my cup of tea.

No Xenoblade Chronicles X news: Big bummer. I know Nintendo showed much of the game during these recent months, but I had hoped to see footage of the game, possibly gameplay.

No Wii download software games: Huge letdown. Wanted to hear about possible new releases, like Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword or Rhythm Heaven Fever.

The disappointments aside, this recent Direct must have been the most content-stuffed ever. If Nintendo speaks more about SMTXFE, Devil's Third, Xenoblade Chronicles X, StarFox U, and any new, unannounced projects to E3 2015, and no other major showings could attempt or hope to compare.
