Re: Talking Point: Wii U and the Next Generation of Consoles

Kohaku

When Nintendo makes it possible to play in 1080 P they will do fine. Mario and his friends, Pikmin, Pokémon B&W 3, Animal Crossing and games like Monster Hunter in full HD will make the people will buy the Wii U. And cheap games like in the eStore on the 3DS will help also.

Still not sure that MS en Sony will bring consoles that will blow the Wii U away. Nintendo earns money from day one and its not sure that MS and Sony want to wait 3-4 years again before they are at a break even point.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Think of 3DS XL?

Kohaku

Got a XL and I am very happy with it! Playing games like Maro Land 3D and MK7 are even more fun now. Pokémon B&W looks better on this screen then on the normal 3DS. And the sound of the XL is also better.
I have the silver one, form the 20 pre orders in my game shop were almost all the silver ones.
Batterylife is not better for me because on my 3DS I had a non-original battery what gave me 16 hours playtime in 2D. So I wait for another battery now.
For people who are not sure what to do at the moment I only can say that ones played on the XL, you never want to go back to the original 3DS.

Re: GAME Goes Large With 3DS XL Trade-In Deal

Here in NL we can trade in not only the 3DS but also a DS what makes that I only have to pay 43 euro for my XL The data transfer can be done at home and after that you bring your 3DS to the shop for the refund.

Re: Nintendo Drops Price of 3DS AC Adapter in Japan

@Wheels2050
Many people have a charger but many people dont have that because they never bought a DSi. I have a DSLite and because Nintendo had used for some strange reasons different sizes of connectors from the charger the people with a DSLite had to buy a new charger. When you wanna sell your 3DS you have to buy a new charger.
When Nintendo allready starts with saving this little money its not strange for me that they will do something strange with the release from the Wii U also to get a nice price. Maybe we have to use the Wii adapter so Nintendo can save money.

@Tsuchinoko

When I buy a cellphone, the charger is included. When I buy a car, the battery can be charged while driving. No need to buy it seperate from the car. When I buy a 3DS XL I can uce the AC adapter from my 3DS but can't sell my 3DS without an adapter because the adapter of my DS Lite doesn't fit. At least Nintendo should have used a mini-USB connection like all the new cellphones have now. They only sell the XL without adapter for financial reasons, not to pleasure the customers.
What is the difference for me to buy a XL for €199 when I have to buy an adapter for €10, it's still over €200 what I have to spend?
When Nintendo decides to use the mini-USB standard its fine for me, almost everyone has those adapters at home nowadays. And whats next? Leave the adapter and tablet out the box for getting the Wii U under €200 sale?

Re: 3DS Sales Momentum in U.S. and Europe is 'Not so Good'

Kohaku

Maybe Nintendo should bring more games to us then Just Mario and friends. Where is Monster Hunter? Why no Pokémon? Animal Crossing not before first half 2013.
Give America and Europe more games and that will help. And don't expect that new gamers will buy a handheld without adapter.
