I think it's outstanding. I'm so confident that people will look back at this game with even bigger eyes and a bigger appreciation than even the cult original.
Its a game that people will learn more with time.
Me and my friends are already having a blast and thinking about it A LOT.
As a long time fan, I also couldn't be happier. Not all fans have their potential dream games come out but some Kirby/Sakurai fans definitely did with this one.
Yes. I bought the game as soon as it was availible for purchase. So already set on that.
I'm a big fan of the original game, general Kirby and Sakurai games, and have 20 hours in the demo lol
So yeah I love it. It's a very unique game and as someone who grew up with games like Power Stone or Twisted Metal, there's an appeal to maps with power-ups that you can get to knock each other out.
City Trial has quite a bit of strategy as well. Like a lot of multiplayer games that have a lot going on like Smash or Fortnite, it looks like absolute chaos to the average passerby and it plays differently. So it's not going to click right away with some folks but those who get into it, I guarantee will really get into it.
Years later there's still a competitive scene for the orginal game! So yeah, I'm happy to see this game get a follow up and hopefully more folks will get into it's unique style.
