I was wondering if it is a prequel to Wind Waker. The beginning of WW talks waiting for a hero that never comes. Maybe the adult Link from Ocarina of Time (what happened to him after OoT?) did appear but worked behind the scenes which led to Hyrule being flooded.
BUT....
The one thing that makes me question my theory and the other ones posted in this article is the inclusion of Wolf Link. That makes me think this game has to take place in the same timeline as MM and TP. But where exactly? I know people say the WW timeline because of the Koroks. But I think they could appear that way in the TP timeline too. BotW couldn't be before TP, because Wolf Link didn't exist yet. But after TP Ganon was destroyed already. Did he come back? Also just because the game says for Link to wake up does that mean he is a Link people have played before or a new Link that is being awoke? The downfall timeline seems interesting, but it's already so crowded with stories. Also the Link of BotW to me kinda reminds me of the SS Link. Maybe BotW jumps around timelines?
I guess a sequel to TP. I think. Unless I'm taking the inclusion of Wolf Link too seriously.
Actually wait.... I have one more idea. What if BotW takes place at the end of the WW timeline, after TP, and at the end of the downfall timeline simultaneously? BotW has elements from all three timelines. Maybe they all intersect at the bottom of the page to start a new branch of the timeline?
Xbox One has a disc drive but doesn't read games from the disc. Instead every game whether it's bought digitally or on disc it has to be downloaded entirely to the hard drive. The games are then read from the hard drive. Blu Ray is great for delivering games to people that want to buy physical copies, because they can hold large amounts of data. But they are too slow. That's why it goes to the hard drive. Now flash can be expensive. And games are taking much more space than they used to. I don't think future massive HD games of the future will be on flash memory.
Maybe the mobile version of the games will be flash based
If they want us to go all digital then why don't they have the Wolf Link Amiibo for purchase for those that bought the eshop version of Twilight Princess HD?
Even though that bothers me I've already gone all digital.
I remember back when Skyrim came out and was so popular. I played it, and thought it was so depressing. There was hardly any humor or emotion. Just darkness. Zelda though mixes it up throughout the game. There are sweet moments, sad moments, and even funny moments.
Then there were the dungeons. Skyrim's dungeons got so boring and repetitive to me. Zelda has well thought and designed puzzles and items in the dungeons.
But some people wouldn't give Zelda any attention, because it wasn't open world or it didn't look realistic and gritty. If people only knew what they were missing. To me Zelda is incredible. TP is probably my favorite with Wind Waker HD close to it.
And if you are curious I've been visiting this site for a while. I'd say a year or two. I go to IGN, but this site has much better Wii U coverage. Today is the first time though that I actually signed up and posted here on NintendoLife. I'm excited to talk Nintendo games with people passionate about Nintendo games. My favorite two game franchises are Legend of Zelda series and Halo (yeah I game on Nintendo consoles and Xbox consoles). Also a big Mario Kart fan. Especially 8. Nintendo has some of the best games. I mostly have the Xbox for Halo and Madden. To me Zelda is the best adventure type game. And a side note: How come no Animal Crossing on Wii U?

Re: Feature: Five Reasons Why We Love Animal Crossing
I wanted an Animal Crossing for Wii U. I guess it won't happen now. Oh well. I assume it will happen for NX.
Re: Random: Amazon Promotes Nintendo's Latest Legend of Zelda Releases With a Pretty Infographic
I wonder if and when Nintendo will release the wolf link Amiibo for sale individually. I bought TP HD digitally through the eshop.
Re: Review: Miitomo (Mobile)
Any chance Nintendo will release the Wolf Link Amiibo for sale as a standalone purchase for those that bought Twilight Princess digitally?
