More than likely will only be security updates in a vain attempt to stop the hackers.
The eshop is so slow. They could at least give us the "feature" of not having to load in images. Scrolling through the specials is a time consuming chore especially with the all of the cheap tat that is always on sale.
I would have liked an activity log (i.e. like the one that is ALREADY on the 3DS).
I guess a lot of people want folders?
Achievements - There are a number of games on the system that have them built in but there is no overall tracking like on PS, Xbox, Steam etc. Nintendo has a few first party games with achievements maybe one day they'll add system level tracking.
Nintendo just doesn't seem interested. Just look at what has been added in terms of major updates in the past:
2.0 (day one firmware) - Added online play and friends (On all other consoles this available day one)
3.0 - More friends stuff that should have been there on day one.
4.0 - Capture 30 seconds of video.
5.0 - Nothing really
6.0 - Cloud saves (with switch online subscription). I stand to be corrected but I think microsoft and playstation consoles for the past 2 gens at least have had this day one.
7.0 - Nothing really
8.0 - The ability to sort your games........
9.0 - Nothing really
10.0 - Ability to remap controller buttons
11.0 - Nintendo Switch Online icon added to the home menu

Re: Soapbox: I'm Tired Of Ports And Remakes - Where Are All Nintendo's New Ideas?
@ARPK Agreed! Would love a Wario game (not the touch stuff).

Looking at the above, I am truly blown away.
