Well I haven't come across any glitch yet myself, so hopefully it's rare like you say. But then again, I never claimed to be able to pull off any "mad triple combos" either. Real or virtual.
@Corbie Hey, that sounds like my job. Except I'm self employed...
@x.SuperMario.x I don't know. I volunteered for Midnight Pool thinking I would win friends by volunteering for a crappy throw away game. You never can tell.
@Stratos Never played any Monkey Ball games so I can't compare. Sorry.
@WiiloveitOnline It's big. The graphics are realistic as opposed to cartoony, but they're still mostly two dimensional. Maybe the pool physics engine is just that complex?
@x.SuperMario.x from post 16 I guess that's a matter of taste. They're definitely designed to be sexy, but I'd be worried about what sort of diseases I might catch from a "dentist" who displays signs of an oral fixation.
Now that Midnight Pool is out we can see that Gameloft made the Wii version much fancier than their original cell phone release. I expect something similar from them with this game, hopefully with a 'story' mode of some sort to add more depth than Wii Sports had.
Well, I'll just say this. I sold my copy of Wii Play as I never wanted to play it again. But I'll be keeping all 312 blocks of Midnight Pool on my Wii for a long time to come.
To clarify the score, WWW considers a 5 to be 'average'. Meaning not a bad game, but not really good either. Compare this game to Dr. Mario's replayability (especially with online play) and you'll see why that game has so much more to recommend it. Whereas this game just screams 'average'.
@Corbie: Uh oh, that's twice I've seen you compliment this game's music. Perhaps I should edit that review one last time before it goes live.....or not
It wasn't just g4tv.com. They showed it on XPlay ("TV's #1 show about video games" as they call it) announcing Soul Blazer was now on the virtual console.
I remember scratching my head at the time. Then I smacked the tv and, when that didn't work, I retired to the computer to check this site. But I certainly didn't take the time to turn on the wii and look for myself, as even G4 would never undertake that herculean task!

Re: Review: Midnight Pool (WiiWare)
How is me doing your reviews going to help you quit your job?
Re: Review: Midnight Pool (WiiWare)
@Corbie
Wait...you mean there's more?
Re: Review: Midnight Pool (WiiWare)
@Jogurt
Nope. Bait and Switch!
Re: Review: Midnight Pool (WiiWare)
@Tides
Yes, the controls are similar. But it's somehow smoother, not to mention you get alot of help showing you where to hit the ball if you want it.
@SuperMario
Thanks!

@Chipmunk 777 & Peznaze
Your wish is granted! The review is in editing as we speak. Although it probably won't get posted until tomorrow as those Brits go to bed early.
Re: USA WiiWare Update: Midnight Pool
It'll be up soon. So far, let's just say I'm pleasantly surprised.
Re: Review: Family Table Tennis
@Peznaze: Thanks for sharing that data! I haven't bothered to download the Nintendo Channel, so I would have missed it.
Re: Review: Family Table Tennis
Thanks for the kind words everyone.
