Crazy Dave in Popcap Games' Plants vs Zombies starts to tell you this code on the final level. The Konami code is a piece of video game history that I hope will never die. I doubt it will, given how prolific its references are in pop culture.
This is a definite must for the 3DS, I would hate to see Nintendo continue to ignore that this system existed. I don't really care how they approach it (whether it's a retail compilation or VC downloadable), as long as it happens.
I completely agree that your method would be the best to restore carts to their original condition. I was just offering a quick alternative for when a simple cleaning is all you need, but then if you are already opening your cart up you might as well give an intense cleaning if you have some solution handy.
If you are just dealing with dirt and gunk on the carts contacts, another easy way to shine them up is to take a rubber eraser to them once the cart is open and the contacts are more accessible. Obviously if there is a major issue with corrosion, then the contact cleaner is the way to go.
Great article, really captures what how many of the retro gamers out there feel and why. It was such a great era for video games, and it's hard to let it go. I still pull out my Power Glove, Robotic Operating Buddy, and my Gray-brick Gameboy to experience that simpler time again.
While the game is pretty short once you have the hang of it, I would still give it a higher than a 5. As for Corbie and Adam - you still need to play this. Even if it doesn't have a huge replay value, the great graphics and feel of the control is fantastic.
@hamispink - There are definately some bad games for the Virtual Boy. Virtual League Baseball is horrible, and I'm sure that most VB gamers will agree that Waterworld is one of the worst games made for any console.
I know it's just a joke, but I still love the idea. I hope Nintendo pays attention to sites like this, because if they really did release VB I would be downloading the games as soon as they came. I know the system was a HUGE waste of time and money, but for some reason I still liked it. Just like some people out there like to play E.T. for the Atari just because it was such a horrible game. This is a great idea in my opinion and I wish it were true. (I'd also like add my vote for the original GameBoy to the rest in these comments. It's one of my favorite Nintendo systems, and deserves some space on my Wii.)
I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay to play this game on the Wii, even if the game is improved. I've already been playing the online flash version of the game on my Wii when I want to kill some time, and I'm content with that.
They are basically enormous touch screens. You can use them like a white board (only without using markers) and they'll also connect to a computer and display presentations, figures, etc.
It wasn't a great game, but I liked it. And I've given up dreaming for the "great" games to be released, the wait just drives me insane. For now, I'll wish for the mediocre games that I like to come out on VC since it seems those are released more often than others. (I'll never give up the dream on Super Mario RPG though)
I haven't played HM before and I kinda wish the vid played the actual sound from the game so that I knew what the music was like as well as the gameplay. Although, I really liked FFIX.

Re: Pinball Hall of Fame - The Williams Collection
I agree‚ I've a lot of fun playing this game.
Re: Review: Mario Clash (Virtual Boy)
It's not the greatest of the VB games‚ but I still love playing it every once in a while to pass the time.

Re: Virtual Console Games to be Playable Directly from SD Cards
Has anyone at VC-Reviews heard about this?
