@AlexSora89 Good question. So in the classics collection, you get only the USA version of Sonic 1 with the spike death bug among other unrefined things. With this standalone version, you get exclusive leaderboards for time attack, Mega Play Mode, ring chain challenge overall better presentation and your choice of which version to play. I suggest Japanese over the international USA version. Furthermore, you get the spin dash and drop dash from Sonic Mania as options. And a ring-keep mode so you don't spill all your rings each time you take damage. So it's more for diehard fans who want a faithful release of a superior version with optional bells and whistles.
