I’m at something like 99% complete. I’ve done all Shrines plus DLC, upgraded nearly all my armour and found all 900 Koroks. The key to 100% is completing the Horseback Archery challenge for me. I’ve pumped about 360 hours into it.
Im a casual gamer, so it was mainly evenings when my children had gone to bed and my partner was either working on her laptop or had fallen asleep. I spent about a good 18+ months on it, with it pretty much being the only game I played. It was the first time I’d played it, and I remember my brother saying he wished he could erase it from his memory and play it for the first time again: and with that in mind, I made sure I took my time. I never used the Ancient Motorbike (which I hate anyway!), and other than obtaining a few Koroks and a couple of side quests, I never used a Horse. I walked everywhere and pretty much covered the entire map. I loved ALTTP, it was my first Zelda experience, but BOTW is my most favourite game ever (after Alien Breed ‘92 Special Ed on the Amiga haha!).
Only thing I can’t get past is the Master Sword Trials. Man, that’s controller breaking territory right there! One day, one day.
