Picked up the switch 2 physical. Couldn't care less about key card or not. Being a DQ newbie, I'm enjoying the game a lot. I loved the remake of 3 and this art style is simply a gorgeous take on the pixel style art.
I will be buying physicals whenever available, keycard or not. Although, I’m not a huge fan of the super intense shade of red everywhere on these box designs. The top banner is garish and takes away from the artwork. The red interior probably means no inside art which sucks. Nintendo and a few other developers made some lovely art on switch 1 games inside the cases. Shame that probably won’t continue into switch 2. Sadly I do feel this signals the beginning of the end of physicals in gaming…
Nice to be able to see more of how the box art will look. I wonder if we won't get any art on the inside, like the switch 1st party games have, given the red cases now. Physicals really are on their last legs it feels coming into the switch 2 gen... which is a shame. Box art is a small thing I know, but it's a nice part of collecting physicals.
I live in Malaysia and we’re still waiting to hear from Nintendo on the actual launch date. So far just a vague Jul-Sept window. Thankfully, I’ve already preordered mine from a local game retailer. This generation, Nintendo are finally opening an online store and eshop here, so should have official pricing and not jacked up scalper level prices!
