Re: Opinion: A Few Too Many Questions & Unwelcome Surprises Are Taking The Shine Off The Switch 2 Reveal

ChaosControl

A few fun thoughts, according to the Stock Information on Nintendo's website. Please note, I know little about stocks- just making connections and sharing:
https://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/en/stock/information/index.html

1) Nintendo's #1 shareholder is The Master Trust Bank of Japan, Ltd., holding 16.48%. The Master Trust Bank of Japan, Ltd. is jointly owned by multiple firms, however, the majority stakeholder of the firm is Mitsubishi UFJ (Japan's largest bank).

2) Chase Bank (the US's largest bank) take the #2 and #9 stakeholders, under different account numbers with 10.41% between them.

3) Foreign institutions make up 50.62% and Japanese financial institutions make up 29.16% of Nintendo's total shares. Japanese corporations and individuals combined make up 7.33% of Nintendo's total shares.

Personal take away/conspiracy theory: The heart of Nintendo has been lost.

Either which way, shareholders hold a share, so they hold a voice. If you don't believe what the company is doing is right, what any company is doing right, invest in them, speak out, open up to the feedback, and learn how to make a change (and maybe discover a little more about yourself along the way too). You could also not buy their products until either you or they change. You have a voice--learn how to use it effectively.

Re: "Don't Let Nintendo Ruin The Entire Industry" - Is $80 For Mario Kart World A Bridge Too Far?

ChaosControl

Base Switch 2 console: $449.99 USD
with Vietnam 46% tariff: $656.99 USD

Physical Switch 2 game: $89.99 USD
with Japan 24% tariff: $111.59 USD

1 game and 1 system will cost US players an extra: $228.59 USD.

Note: this extra $228.59 USD will go directly to the current US administration, or at least that will be their claim. If you purchase anything that has a tariff in the US, you are funding the Trump administration's economy.

Personal note: if you disagree at all with the US administration, my advice: wait 4 years to purchase the console. By then, there will be far more games and the next iteration will likely be launched (OLED hopefully!).

Re: New Pokémon Legends Z-A Trailer Dives Into Even More Upcoming Features

ChaosControl

So far, these trailers have demonstrated quite a lacklustre game. No real indication of what buildings mean, aside from serving as physical barriers around the city, as well as taking over as the routes in the games of old. The only thing "new" is a mildly more advance battle system which just extends the Legends Arceus mechanics. Seems like another quick cash grab by TPC and Nintendo, something they're become notorious for at this point. I know this is NintendoLife, so the point it moot, but still- I wish you kids would stop settling for this swill, actually take a stand, and demand this company do better...
