If they’re forcing us to pay the price of a full game for the expansion passes for both Sword and Shield, then they better be planning on adding all of them back eventually. It doesn’t matter if it’s not right away. I’m fine with them gradually adding them back a little at a time, just as long as they do add them back. If not, then Masuda needs to be fired and Game Freak needs to be put under new management. Sword and Shield felt like a rushed game, and was overall disappointing for me. If that’s going to be the way it is going forward, then I’ll find something else to spend my money on. In any case, I think this expansion pass with its returning Pokemon is a step in the right direction.
@Brutchie-bear Because they can add them into the game without any trouble. The switch can easily handle all of the Pokemon. Consider how vast the open world of Breath of the Wild is. It is actually larger than some real world countries. If it can handle a realistic world of that size, it can easily handle a bunch of characters that have a much more simplistic, cartoonish art style.
Balance is no excuse for a cut. Simply ban certain Pokemon from online tournaments. The competitive players won’t have to worry about balance, while those who just want to enjoy the game with their favorite Pokemon can do so. Everybody wins.
@Balladeer Balance is not an excuse to cut Pokemon. The problem of balance can be solved by simply banning certain Pokemon from competitive tournaments. That way, competitive players can have their balanced competitions while casual players who just like to collect their favorite Pokemon can still have what they want. Other series have done similar things for balance.
Yeah, I call BS on this excuse. There are other ways to deal with issues like this. This is merely laziness and incompetence. I, for one, will not be buying this game. I’ve been playing these games since Gen 1, so this will be the first Pokemon games I don’t buy.

Re: You Cannot Have A Complete National Pokédex In Pokémon Sword And Shield
Well, I’m out. I’ve been playing these games since Generation 1, and now, for the first time ever, I won’t be buying the new Pokemon games.
Re: Nintendo's Market Value Drops By $1 Billion After Animal Crossing Switch Delay
@Archius9 True, but a certain controversial decision by Game Freak certainly will.
