@NathanTheAsian Don't listen to the vocal minority, they represent only a small fraction of Nintendo's fanbase... Most of us are happy playing all of these games (overwhelmed, even). Crypt of the Necrodancer, in particular, is wildly popular. Don't let the haters bring you down, and definitely don't feed the trolls. Have a good day. Peace!
It would be nice if Nintendo actually sold the Amiibo cards. They should have had the cards available at launch, and have a new series for the new villagers... Nintendo would have made bank and the fans would be happy. Such a missed opportunity! Why's Nintendo sleeping on this?
I share an island with my SO. We don't mind one bit. And it's a lot of fun having two people working together on one island! I do understand people's complaints though. It would have been best if players could choose to have their own island or to share one. That way everybody could be happy! But, with that being said, sharing a village is classic animal crossing!
@Rpg-lover
I wouldn't really compare Animal Crossing to The Sims. I'd say AC has more in common with games like Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon.
Sims doesn't really have any real dialogue, while AC has an emphasis on dialogue. The characters are well written. Sure it's wholesome and family safe, but each character is quirky and unique and they are easy to like. And there's a lot of them! In AC, you do pretty repetitive, mundane work such as shake trees for fruit, catch bugs and fish, and dig for fossils. The work isn't very compelling, but it's satisfying to do. You use your money to customize your character and upgrade and furnish your house. You do everything at your own pace. AC never requires you to do anything, and anything that you do is by your own volition. It's a great game to play when you want to relax, and might not interest players who need action or an end goal.
@Toy_Link I disagree. Rick & Morty is exaggerated by it's fans and it's haters. I think it's well written with a good mix of crude and clever humor, stuffed with a lot of familiar sci-fi tropes. I recommend checking it out for yourself. You'll know if it's to your taste after just any one episode.
@Zuljaras Others have explained what rogue-lite is, but to answer why: Since you restart every time you die or win, which takes no longer than 90 minutes, rouge-lite elements keep the game from becoming monotonous. 100 hours later this game is still FRESH! What's randomized: 1) The layout of each stage, though rooms are pulled from a gigantic library of rooms, which prevents the generated stages from being butt ugly and weird 2) Items that you find along the way: there are about 70 weapons/shield and 30 skills to find along your way. I never mind dying because it's always exciting to start a new run because you never know what combination of items you'll find synergy with & 3) Rooms are randomly populated with enemies, so each battle challenges you to adapt, which for me, is very stimulating. I think it's a great game if you can't tell!

The appeal isn't in carrying 40 stacks of turnips, it's in making 2-4 million bells per transaction.

Less eggs, please.
Re: Poll: Has Your Family Bought A Second Switch To Play Animal Crossing: New Horizons 'Properly'?
@Francema
Yes. There can only be one island per console. So all local accounts share the same island.
Re: Poll: Has Your Family Bought A Second Switch To Play Animal Crossing: New Horizons 'Properly'?
The poll is missing an option for players who are happy to share their village with somebody.
