I don't understand why people are saying that he doesn't stand a chance of being included because he's owned by another company.. So was Snake, and all the Capcom characters, and none of them even had a history with Nintendo games to begin with - Sakurai and the gang basically just went up and were like "Hey, want some Capcom dudes in Smash?", and they were like "Yeah, sure, sounds cool. Go for it slugger." At least Banjo has some history with Nintendo, and the fan base obviously doesn't have a problem with him being introduced - they've already drafted up up sketches of his possible moves list and what he might look like in game. Besides, the folks at Microsoft already said they have no problem with Nintendo using Banjo for Smash, and they've cooperated with Nintendo on Rare IP in the past, so cooperation on Microsofts side is NOT the issue. All that would have to happen is for Banjo to make his way into one or two other Nintendo games in the future and bang, there's the advertising issue taken care of.
Banjo's the only choice for me, but after him it's Simon Belmont and Shovel Knight all the way.
We need some fresh flesh in this installation - no reskins, and no returning veterans. Nobody liked the fact that Lucina was made a full character rather than a Marth skin (since she's basically the same character), and I'm pretty sure adding some returning dillywop like Ice Climbers or Snake would be the most anticlimactic way of all to end this new character poll.. What a waste of such a great opportunity that would be.. Besides - returning vets are always possibilities for future DLC, but I doubt we'll have many more chances to vote on which ones we want in the future. So with that in mind, quit wasting votes on returning characters, or even worse, on characters which come from TV shows - yes, I'm looking at you Goku fans..
