I'm relieved that they took the time needed to put together a cohesive game. I was a huge fan of the first title... Like, I played through it probably 20x.
The first sneak peaks of FLi made me nervous. The repeated delays made me worry, but I was still hopeful that, since my 3DS is long broken, this would still be a version I could at least use to scratch that itch. I'm pleasantly surprised; it's actually good.
One of the top games of the year? Maybe not. But, one that I will absolutely, eventually, sink 1000 hours into? ...yeah, seems likely.
This is one of my fav 3DS titles of all time. It wasn't perfectly crafted, but it was charming. I loved being able to cook my own food, make my own potions, craft my own gear, and then - eventually - go out exploring. But really, I mostly loved leveling up the crafts, and learning to make new things.
I have played through it a minimum of 15x, maxing everything. Up until last year, I was still digging out my 3DS, occasionally, to play through the game, again. My 3DS finally broke.
If this release doesn't satiate my cravings, they better do a remake of the original. 😒 Because you KNOW that they'll blame poor sales numbers on lack of interest, and not that they did a shoddy job on this one.
I'm truly hoping that it's great, and there are no major problems, and I'm actually glad that they set the release date back, hopefully, in order to fix it... But this def doesn't fill me with hope. I'm worried.
Will absolutely be waiting for reviews before purchasing.
@Magician No one I know has even heard of the previous game. I'm glad to see others waiting expectantly! 😅 I played through the first game many, many times, and I'm hyped for the next one, too!
Look, I understand that the first game was not received exceedingly well. BUT, I loved that damn game. I played through it at least 15x, leveling up everything. I kept my shabby old 3DS to replay that and a couple other titles.
So, I'm really excited... But, if that bun needs more time in the oven, please give it what it needs. I'm so excited, but I'm excited for a well-planned, fully thought out, addicting, repayable experience. Take your time. 🙏🏻
