@SirLink Maybe you should actually watch and listen to what is said in the review, then you would know why he recorded with 240fps and what are the issues with vrr..
So, for anyone still reading this. Here is a finally a video of someone who is adressing and measuring this blur issue. He witnessed it on two devices, still no evidence of devices with better pixel response.
@Rijzebrew
Until now I have yet to see a switch 2 with no smearing. Although at normal speed it can be tough to spot it in filmed material, when using youtube playback at 0,25 it can be seen as doubling or trippling images of objects. I looked at a few offscreen gameplays and all showed this behavior. In the comparision video in the article with mario kart 8, the Oled Switch shows almost none doubling objects.
I suppose some people just don't see it. It is the same as TVs with smoothness effects enabled which look horrible to me (Soap opera Effect). Yet some just keep it enabled and don't see a problem with that
Besides the non existent HDR the thing that distracts me the most is the lacking motion clarity. It is visible everywhere, but if you open the map in mario kart world and scroll in circles everyone should see the smearing, especially on the characters icons. Or just play donkey kong country tropical freeze. I also checked with a cheap fire tab, and the motion clarity is just better. For me that blur is as bad a cheap Samsung LCD TV I bought in 2009...

Re: Review: Super Mario Party Jamboree - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV - A Fantastic Addition To An All-Time Party Game
Why do they call it nintendo switch 2 edition, when it contains the exact switch 1 version. Downright a scam if you ask me...
Re: "Somewhat Mixed" - Digital Foundry Delivers Its Technical Analysis Of Donkey Kong Bananza
Funny that some people just can't grasp that digital foundry is about technical stuff, complaining about them finding issues is just baffling
Re: Digital Foundry Is "Happy" With Switch 2 But Feels The Screen Is "Problematic"
@datamonkey there are two manufactuers but a switch 2 that has less blur has yet to be seen on video

The level of ignorance in this comment section is really insufferable
