@mr12calvin You would have needed to have a VPN router and connect the switch, I tried to set it up by connecting my switch to my phone via hotspot and having the VPN on my phone n but it just had error messages.
@Not_Soos In regards to NSO I have had no problems what so ever, I am a big fan of Splatoon 2 and spend most of my time playing it and it's been the same as it was before NSO, I only use a VPN on my phone and my Mac, my switch connects directly to the Chinese internet, the connection is stable and fast as well, for other games I can't really think of a game in which you would need a VPN to play in China unless it uses google play services such as Pokemon Go. But if you are just planning on playing switch games with her there will be no problems at all.
@Not_Soos Basically your internet connection goes through a server in a different country before going to a website. The most important thing to know is that it lets you use sites such as youtube, facebook etc. while being in a country that restricts its internet like here in China. It also hides your identity and what sites you are visiting.
@Not_SoosI Its not a problem at all, I believe its available in the google play app store so it's not just for Chinese people. If she is looking for a good VPN for access to western sites I highly recommend VPN Unlimited, its unknown in China really, which means it never gets blocked. I have used it for about 5 years and its never been bocked, at certain times it goes on sale and you can get a good deal, I got a lifetime membership for about £80
@Not_Soos Everything to do with social media is blocked here, a few months ago Discord was blocked, NSO works fine here, but my account is based on the UK e-shop so that might affect something I'm not sure, unless She uses a VPN to contact you the best thing would be to use Wechat (weixin) to arrange things with her.
I am an Expat in China and before the release of NSO I never had a problem with playing online, and after NSO came out I also haven't had any problems, I bought my Switch in China, maybe the players which are affected are using a VPN router which is being blocked, I don't even have to use a VPN to play and as I said I have never had a problem after NSO started.
@Tirza you turn off the auto renew after you buy it, if you are wanting the free trail choose funds it wont charge you then you can turn off auto renew
Netease are alrrady wotking with Nintendo not directly but via Niantic, Netease are working with Niantic to release Pokemon go here in China so it will be interesting to see if this affects anything
With it coming out soon in China, they will make more money soon enough, looking forward to finally being able to play...2 years after its release in the west, the wierd thing is Ingress works great here besides needing a VPN its even weired that Niantic say its because google is banned here but using a VPN lets everything work fine
If it is about the game, they will have a direct before its on a TV show in Japan only, they havent announced a main line game only in Japan in a very long time, so if a Direct is gonna drop today or tomorrow it will happen at 10/11pm Japanese time as thats the best time for everyone around the world, Its night in Japan, in Europe its afternoon, in the US / Canada its morning so cross your fingers in 3-4 hours for a suprise direct.
At first I hated the Idea of going back to Kanto AGAIN, but now I have warmed to the idea, I hope if it is back to Kanto they do it right, only time will tell.
Its a really fun game, the developer gave it to me to review, and all I can say is so far its really fun, it supports touch screen controls or the joy con which the right one is used like a wiimote, I have only played to the first boss, but it is great fun, I highly reccomend the game, and it looks like there will be alot of replay value with going.back to try to beat your own records.
NORTH is not bad, the switch version seems to have a glitch when it comes to the work section, and the lighting in the game could be better but out of all the games from Sometimes you on the switch its the best so far, been trying to play One Eyed Kutkh but all I can say is Urgh...got bored after a few minutes glad I didn't pay for it...
I know some people are finding the dates confusing so I can explain them, you have until March 27th, 2018 to add points to your account, after that you cant add any more points and you have until January 31st, 2019 to spend them or re-download any games you have bought.
The switch is already quite popular in China, I live in China and I bought my switch on Taobao as well as all of my games, they are really easy to get hold of also ( and a lot cheaper to buy), I got my switch with Zelda and a protective case and a screen protector for the same price as just the switch console in the U.K and that was a week after its release.
Also isn't Implosion made by a Chinese company? I could be wrong but when I bought it on Ipad I think it said it was made by a Chinese company.

@Rawzuka Is your switch recognizing that your game cart is in the switch? try taking out your game cart and putting it back in.
