@Joh1121 Mine arrived Saturday morning. If it was with RM it would be more like Tuesday. That's lucky for me. But it seems both RM, Hermes and DPD all were overloaded.
The lucky ones got their orders reallocated to be shipped by Hermes, which is a very strange thing given how slow Hermes usually are. The unlucky ones got theirs accepted by Royal Mail and are therefore on a 48 hour tracked service, essentially 2nd class mail.
@Miketeevee76 For launch day, they need to divide up the orders and send them via different couriers. Since it's obvious one carrier alone can't handle such a spike in demand.
Not sure if it has an relevance, but what's people's order numbers?
Mine was 85405186
Wondering some of the early ones got shipped with RM and then they got overloaded and had to pass the work onto Hermes.
Also, if you're getting the pro-controller, don't bother getting a USB-C cable, it comes with one (that's obviously what the USB port on the Switch dock is for).
Fast RMX is a good stop gap racing game until Mario Kart appears
Advice for anyone after a USB-C cable, don't cheap out as there's loads of bad ones around. I found this out when finding one for my phone to connect to my car head unit to do Android Auto.
I got one at Tesco in the end after trying about two others, none of them except for the Tesco one would work. Some of the cheaper ones may also damage your device, they put the wrong resistor value in them.
I'm using my Moto Z charger to charge the Switch when playing+charging away from the TV.
@Scamp There's Hermes, MyHermes, HermesWorld. I'm not sure if they're all part of the same operation but I often get tracking numbers that only work on the one specific site.
I fear for the worst. I'm expecting them to ship Monday for Tue/Wed delivery. Hence the 7/8th estimate.
I have to say, the customer service is abysmal. I messaged them a couple of days ago to upgrade to express delivery (I believe they use DPD), but was told I couldn't change any details of my order. Only cancel and re-order (and presumably lose my pre-order).

Re: GameStop Describes Nintendo Switch Launch as "One of the Strongest" in Recent Years
They probably did need more launch titles, but just shows what gold Nintendo has with the Zelda series.

Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Reassures Customers On Day One Switch Deliveries
@Joh1121 Says "Delivery will be attempted between 11:00 and 15:00 today "
But that's only just popped up. Given I got it about 10.30 it's a bit inaccurate.
Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Reassures Customers On Day One Switch Deliveries
@Scamp I just tried my parcel number on myhermes and it didn't appear.
It does appear on HermesWorld though.

Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Reassures Customers On Day One Switch Deliveries
My box has the RM 48 tracked label underneath the Hermes one. Must be the only time ever that Hermes has been faster delivering anything.
Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Reassures Customers On Day One Switch Deliveries
Mine's here Hermes delivery. I left my front porch door open and there it was.
Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Reassures Customers On Day One Switch Deliveries
@SammiiCake Hermes do that all the time.
I had a MIDI synthesizer module worth about £800 left outside in the rain by Hermes.

@Jamesrw Hoping that's the case for mine.
I cancelled my Mario Kart pre-order. I'll get it from somewhere reliable

Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Reassures Customers On Day One Switch Deliveries
@BillieBoo Back log at the local Royal Mail depot?
I guess it took them by surprise that Nintendo announced the release date of 3rd March two months ago. I guess RM need more notice
Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Reassures Customers On Day One Switch Deliveries
@ItsRalphie Can't even eat the cartridge lol.
Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Reassures Customers On Day One Switch Deliveries
Mine has just shown up on RM tracking at 19.02. It's not even an update to say they received the parcel, just pre-advice.
Highly disappointing given I got the tracking number about 24 hours ago!
