I need to experience this to definitively say I have played every mainline DQ made.

Be nice but don't put much hope unless gemstu indicate localizations happening.

More 'translation' than localization changes for the worst, thanks. But yes, bring it to the hands of more fans, please.

Man if a localization is happening then finally took them this long to get a Wii port to work on current gen platforms worldwide. This means Wii, Wii U, and 3DS DQX fans worldwide just got robbed of the game.

This game is one that I'd like to be localized but admittedly don't have much hope of it happening. At least it's more likely than Mother 3.

I followed news forever of this game being localized. I'll believe it when I see it but I'm pretty much over it now.

I just want more DLC. Really hoping they do all the expansions.

@Tyranexx Speaking of, Mother 3 doesn't need to be localized to oblivion. There's a perfectly usable fan translation that doesn't butcher dialogue and themes that Nintendo would edit out to avoid backlash here in the west.

I already bought the Japanese version and started learning the language, but I'd still welcome the English translation. 😅

@Krull I haven’t played very long as I still have XI to finish (and treasures) but I enjoyed what I played. They brought back turn based battles (which was not the way the original X worked), added voice acting where there was none and the reduced scale of the map felt appropriate and didn’t feel too short or too long (unlike the original). They have also supposedly added more quests but I didn’t get that far. And the whole thing looks like imo a polished version of IX. I know with how X currently looks and how XI looks that may not be ok for some but I have no issues. I have the Version 2 DLC and keep the game updated but it will be some time before I can take another go at it. Granted my comparisons to the original X is to the Wii version.

Man, I hope we get a localized version! This is the only game that I ever imported, but it’s not easy when you can’t read what’s going on haha

Usually Asia Version of games have a English option (SRW games for example).So I'm crossing my figures it will happen haha.

@Aerona, @AlexanderDaniels The comparison was I have absolutely no hope Mother 3 will officially leave Japan. I'm considering emulating it with the English patch when the time comes, but I'm also tempted to buy one of the GBA repro carts too.

Is this is the remake with the horrible chibi art style rather than the original online art style (like 11s)

@Tyranexx Others have already left a similar comment, but I'll be a +1 on Mother 3. The game is a masterpiece and the fan translation is as good as most official translations. I played it on a GBA repro cart.

@mauhlin12 I'm seriously tempted to go the repro cart route for nostalgia reasons. I think it would feel more natural than emulating. But I'll have to see. I really enjoyed Earthbound/Mother 2 and did like Earthbound Beginnings/Mother, though I made sure to use a guide lol. It seems wrong not to play the third game.
