Nintendo has revealed a brand new trailer for Bayonetta 3 called 'The Witching Hour' and it's one that folks might want to hold off on viewing if you're keen to avoid any spoilers.
The footage goes heavy on narrative details from the start, but also features some killer gameplay that we can't wait to try out when the game launches on October 28th. Primarily, we get a glimpse of some new 2D gameplay in which you infiltrate a laboratory and utilise stealth abilities to take out the enemies. It's certainly a significant step away from the franchise's iconic hack 'n' slash mechanics!
It's also worth pointing out that we also get a good listen to voice actor Jennifer Hale, who has taken over the role of Bayonetta from Hellena Taylor. As expected, she sounds absolutely fantastic to the point where more casual fans might not even be able to tell the difference.
If you want to check out some more footage of Bayonetta 3 but don't want to encounter any spoilers, Game Informer recently revealed two extensive gameplay videos showcasing both Bayonetta herself and newcomer Viola.
What do you think of the new trailer? Looking forward to picking up Bayonetta 3 later this month? Let us know!

I wonder if Luka's First and Second Mission DLCs for The Wonderful 101 Remastered will play similarly to the 2D segments briefly shown here.
I thought the short haired woman was wearing Serious Sam's bomb tee for a moment.
Excuse me Sir, may I have my glasses back?
I think I'm gonna have fun playing as that Viola character! She's cool looking! She's kinda punk rock if you know what i mean! Love the hairdew!
Pre-ordered mainly because I like the steelbook (yeah, stupid reason I know) but I think the game will again be very, very solid. Looking forward to it!
Gonna skip this b/c spoilers, so thanks for the warning.👍
Also, not a fan of 2D so I really don't need to see it.🤷
I've had the game pre-ordered for 4 years, nothing is going to change my mind now.😂
Alright, media blackout mode… activated
This looks absolutely nuts. Despite owning Bayonetta 2 on Switch, I’ve never played either of the first two games (backlog’s innit), but I’m loving what’s been shown of the new game so far. Looks like I’d better catch up. Well, once I’m done with my third playthrough of Mario Odyssey that is.
Kinda shooting yourself in the foot with letting us know there are spoilers. I just watched the trailer and have no idea what I just watched, so I wouldn't know what is spoiler and what's not.
I don't know why, but I'm just really not feeling Bayonetta 3 at all. I loved both the original and the sequel and bought them at launch. But I never really wanted to go back to them after beating them. And now the third game just isn't making me feel much of anything. It looks really good, but I also just don't care.
Something's wrong when trailer content is considered "spoilers."
@nimnio been thinking the same. Wanted to give Bayonetta 2 another bash before 3, but surely by now it would have been discounted. I have it on the Wii U but my Wii U is elsewhere for a while.
@nimnio Is dekudeals just for the US? Because they have gone on sale in Europe several times. I got both on sale on separate occasions.
Bayonetta 3 is gonna be the best game of the franchise, i can't wait to play this masterpiece on my extended battery Switch, i loving that Platinum Games is giving a signicant importance to Jeane in the game.
Bring It on. I can't wait to get my hands on this and sparks of hope.
