PlatinumGames has announced that it has launched a free Nintendo Switch demo for its shoot-em-up title Sol Cresta.

The demo - titled Sol Cresta Trial Version - is being rolled out today, however the specific time of its release may differ depending on your region (at the time of writing, it is not yet available on the North American eShop and the European eShop).

As for what you'll be getting with the demo, PlatinumGames states that players will be able to get a taste of the game's 'Dramatic Mode', the story-driven aspect of Sol Cresta, and a short snippet of 'Arcade Mode'.

Free demo: SOL CRESTA Trial Version (Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Steam）
・Arcade Mode: Playable until part-way through Stage 1 final boss
・Dramatic Mode: Playable until Stage 1 middle boss

The game itself has been out for a little while now, launching on February 22nd, 2022. We reviewed it and awarded it a score of 7/10, stating that "Sol Cresta is far from unenjoyable, but for some, it may be slightly unpalatable". Perhaps the release of a free demo might give some players a better idea of what the game is all about.
