You didn't think we would be missing Splatoon 3's first Splatfest, did you? Taking place from 9am until 9pm BST, the Splatfest World Premiere brings us our first taste of what Splatoon 3's Splatfests will feel like. While they look pretty similar to Splatoon 2's own, the added three-team aspect and the Tricolor Turf War are adding a decidedly purple and yellow twist.
Well, now that the Splatfest is live, why not join us? The lovely Alex, Zion, and Felix will be hopping into the demo at 6am PDT / 9am EDT / 2pm BST / 3pm CEST, and you can watch them sling ink at the field (and others) over on YouTube! They're representing Team Scissors, which means Nintendo Life is a big fan of Big Man.

Out of all of the NL/PS/PXB family you couldn't find a 4th? Can we even team up today? There's a few people I could probably hit up.

Anyone else hate it? Or just me. I adore splatoon 2 and still play but didnt enjoy today's splatfest. Ended up turning the splatfest off and getting back on 2. Just ran smoothly, looked better and I like the old waiting system compared to what we have now.
I actually cancelled my pre order after playing the splatfest for a couple of matches. It seems like an unnecessary sequel since the gameplay is identical to the earlier games (for a casual player anyway), and with the single player apparently not as exciting as the early trailers seemed to suggest, I'm out.

Love splatoon but just couldn't get into it sadly. Just seems like dlc for the last game. Levels are too similar
I've played them all, and I'm having a blast, to be honest. This kind of sealed the deal for me - definitely getting it. I was hesitant at first for reasons that others have mentioned, but I'm totally digging it. I have no desire to go back to 2 now.
Loved the tri-colour turf war as a two player team with my friend, shame we can only play it once a month.

Loved the splatfest! Tricolour turfwar is so cool, though a little imbalanced so the middle team always lost (in my games). But Nintendo will improve that.
Gameplay feels so much smoother than in Splatoon 2 and the pace of game is higher. Can't wait to see the new single player and improved ranked battlemodes!
Splatoon 2.5 maybe. Not really much difference than previous. Game play was slow, not fun, not responsive. Canceled pre-order.
@Grant007 What are you talking about? The gameplay is faster, tighter and more refined than 1 & 2. And you guys need to stop acting like this is representative of the full proper game. It's just a demo! The full game will be far richer in content, with tons of additional content added over a span of 2 years. The gameplay always gets tweeked repeatedly as well. I lost count of how many times they did that with Splatoon 2.
