The Pokémon World Championship 2022 might be over, but that doesn't mean that there will be no more quality Poké-content coming your way. Today, Pokémon Unite has taken to Twitter to lay down the roadmap for the next month of updates, detailing which fighters will be the next to join the battle, and stating when you will be able to take on classic trainers and legendaries in Theia Sky Ruins.
The new battlefield was revealed just last week, and Rayquaza looks to be the legendary Pokémon dominating the season. The last wave saw Glaceon, Buzzwole and Tyranitar enter the game, and today's announcement reveals more new fighters that you will be able to use in the legendary battle, as Unite begins its third wave of Pokémon drops.
Mew, Dodrio and Scizor will be the latest 'mons to join Unite's ever-growing roster on September 2nd, 14th and 28th respectively. The roadmap also outlines when we can expect to be able to challenge the classic legacy trainers in the 'Legacy Trainer Showdown', which is looking to start in early September.
All these new events and updates are one thing, but we feel that the real star of Pokémon Unite's post is seeing Mew all dressed up — look at his shoes!
The events look set to kick off at the start of September with the Pikachu-themed Pika Party coming to an end in the next few days.
What are you the most excited to see from this roadmap? Let us know in the comments below!

I’m curious if I would enjoy the game if I just play for free to unlock Mew lol.
Those shoes on mew make me uncomfortable, haha
Dodrio my beloved.
Looks like a great new update though, I'll definitely be checking back in again.
@OFFICIALMichi I'd definitely recommend it personally. It can certainly make you that trademark MOBA shade of angry (ZAPDOOOOOOOOOOOOOS) but as a massive Pokemon fan, seeing how they translated the playable Pokemon into a MOBA format is always a great time. I'd say try it for at least 5-10 hours (or until you unlock Mew) and, if it still doesn't click with you, there's no shame in dropping it
I'm not sure if this is the game for me. But I do appreciate the use of pokemon that aren't everywhere in other media, like Dodrio, Crustle, and Eldegoss.
I would pay full price for the game if I could unlock Pokémon faster
But it started to feel like a daily chore just trying to get my 300 coins, but I won't put real money into this chaotic model
Mew is maaaaybe a support, but otherwise looks like no new supports or defenders. Maaaaybe Dodrio is a speedster, though?
@BLD Recent leaks have confirmed the roles of all three new mons but if you don't want to see them, I'll put a spoiler tag over them just to be sure:
Mew's an Attacker (APPARENTLY)
Dodrio's a Speedster (the first since launch if I'm not mistaken)
Scizor's an All Rounder (I feel like the roles for Scizor and Mew got mixed up somehow)
Really? Add Roserade already!
While it's nice that they continue to add new Pokémon, and sometimes have events where you can earn the Pokémon for free, it's frustrating that they are slowly increasing the amount of Aeos Coins needed to purchase new Pokémon.
That being said I'll play and earn Mew for free. Eager to see how Dodrio and Scizor play out, but I am excited to finally have an actual new map, even if it's just a reskin of the main map with different wild Pokémon.
