That's what SmartPhones are for....
It could work as a clock big enough for anyone on the room to see, but I still can't fathom wasting precious Switch battery life doing this
Not as good as Mario Clock for DSiWare (Pick it ip on the eShop while you still can!)
It's... time... to move the hands back in order to allow everyone who paid for this to choose the alternative: their money is better spent elsewhere.
Everytime I see the weekly eshop update list and see more AAA clocks I die a little inside. I think it's up to 9 or 10 entries.
wears a regular, but limited edition watch
I did have a smartwatch for a while, but I feel my phone vibrate anyhow, and I don’t use health apps so I got a regular watch to wear from a anime I like.
But each to their own, this “app” on Switch getting DLC proves putting shovelware on the Switch is still way too easy.
Man, can you imagine how many more hours of content this adds to the base game? I could see myself playing this 24 hours a day if I had nothing else to do, like eating, sleeping, or breathing.
This might be even more egregious than that Flashlight app on DSi. The time is displayed with a press of literally one button on the Switch.
The gift that keeps on giving. 10 outta 10.
Anyone want to buy my physical collectors edition with a life-sized replica of the clock, with real moving parts, and actually tells time?
It's $10. Looks so much like the one in the game it's hard to believe it's not digital!
Just guess what time it is, that’s how I like to do it
...the switch already has the time on the home screen...and 99.9% of people have a phone and watch...why would anyone want to buy this?
They're all free? Dammit I was going to make a joke about the prices....T.T
Hella ya!! Time awareness is very important…
I know people like to make fun of this software but I find it genuinely useful to use when I'm charging my phone (with power off) and need a clock to look at while I'm getting ready and have to be out at a certain time or meet a deadline! I don't really have any wall clocks as the ticking annoys me and don't like the feel of watches.
If only they made clock with a frame counter. That’d be a nice speedrunners tool.
Happy clock fans rise up. Happy clock for smash bros, make it happen nintendo
Such a timeless classic, this one.
Now if it had an alarm and calendar functionality with notes and tips, that would be pretty dandy. But I also have my phone to do all those things
Throw hands? That’s an intense reaction there.
No lie, I was thinking about this “game” yesterday.
My house is full of clocks here clocks there but sure another clock to tell the time when I already know it ain't gonna kill me.
@masterLEON You’d have to leave the app to enter a new one though, so it’d pretty much be pointless.
@Clyde_Radcliffe You know you can press the "Home" button on your Switch and it displays the time...right?
Finally! the GOTY game is getting DLC content. i'm super excited to try them out.
@Greatluigi
Because some peoples like something different / unusual.
have yet to beat the final boss in this I gotta hurry so I'm ready for the dlc D:
I recently had a power outage and still haven’t bothered resetting the clocks on my stove or microwave, just my coffee machine. Then, I also had to format my PS5 extended storage drive, delete all the PS4 games that somehow got shunted from it to the console, then redownload all of them to the usb. I started that on Wednesday morning and it’s still going.
The switch maintained its power and storage, and clock (!!!) because it has portable powah.
So yes, clocks. Clocks everywhere.
This does have one use. I get so annoyed everytime I wanna know the -date-, and not the time on the Switch. Why can't Nintendo add the freakin' date to the side bar? It's buried in the settings branches and that's the only way to get to it. It's so odd that it keeps track of the date, but doesn't display it in an obvious way. So yeah, AAA Calendar would probably be a better name/idea.
I can't hand-le it! Or face it! Clock dlc -ticks- me off.
@Anti-Matter It’s a clock. It’s about as far off different and unusual as you get.
@nessisonett
Well, I voted this AAA Clock game than AAA Western games.
@Anti-Matter Come on, there’s a limit to personal tastes in all media. I might not like horror movies but I’d take them over 4 hours of watching paint dry to a soundtrack of vuvuzelas.
am I the only one hyped for these
help, their holding my wallet hostage
While PlayStation and Xbox are getting all the news they could want in the "not E3" summer game news, us Nintendo fans are struggling to find something to be excited for.
@BlueMoon1890
Depend of who is the gamer.
I personally found some interesting upcoming games from Wholesome Direct and other trailers that will have physical release in the future (Lemon Cake, Bunny Park, Little League World Series Baseball 2022). 😊
@FishyS : Ev'ry Time We See AAA Clock, I die a little...
Ev'ry Time We See AAA Clock, I wonder why a little...
“Two thumbs up”
@BabyYoda71 But what if I had…2 SWITCHES!
Sadly, I don’t have 2 Switches. But what if I DID?
Joking aside, I was thinking aside from running, using a frame counter and slo-mo mode on my phone’s camera to help me test input latency.
Now this is how you do post launch content. You give us one of the best, no, the greatest piece of media of all time and then still have the compassion to offer dlc.
I will stand by AAA Clock until I can remember to finally fire it up to stare at while I... Do other things...
@Kiwi_Unlimited It's only a matter of time before you get use to it. Chronologically, this isn't the first DLC in the series, but it's definitely a temporal gain for us gamers!
Can't beat a PSP Go on an official Sony dock. Now THAT's a useless digital clock.
@Clyde_Radcliffe why dont you use the clock that the switch has built in in the home screen?
