Beautiful and ethereal-looking Metroidvania Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights turns one today, and after dazzling us with its challenging combat and sombre tone last summer, we're ready to see what developer Binary Haze can do next.

And it sounds like the developer has something in the works for us. Earlier today, the official Ender Lilies Twitter account shared a cryptic post celebrating the anniversary with a rather unusual picture included. At first glance, it looks like just several symbols and letters, but it hides a secret that hints at the future.
Fans have managed to decode the message as "Ender Lilies next project". Nice and simple, then, but still very exciting! This doesn't tell us what's next for the Metroidvania devs — perhaps a sequel, some DLC, or a brand new game entirely? — but we're glad to see that we'll be getting more from Binary Haze regardless.
Are you a fan of Ender Lilies? What do you want to see next from the developers? Let us know in the comments!

Overall it's an interesting and fun game. I had some problems with the overall level design as it felt kinda just like "a series of rooms", rather than like one large interconnected world.
I also didn't like that there wasn't enough materials hidden around the world to fully upgrade every single one of your spirits.
Looking forward to my LE copy from LRG arriving before the second anniversary.
Good. My game of last year.
Ender Lilies would probably be a strong contender for my favourite Metroidvania ever, I really enjoyed it a lot. Looking forward to seeing what the devs have been working on since.
The game is discounted on eshop right now 😃
@wiiware Thanks.
I was pleasantly surprised with this one. It has some rough edges that a sequel could easily build on. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this to everyone though, but if you're a fan of the genre it's a good one.
Was an absolute masterpiece so this can only be good news.
@wiiware thanks.
Been waiting for Ender Lillies to go on sale since I missed the last one over the holidays earlier. Just purchased!
Sidenote: I thought the Eshop only updated on Thursdays in North America which is when I was going to check for a sale?
I liked Ender Lilies very much, and I sure as hell would love to see a sequel or something maybe in the same universe, like a spin-off.
But I understand those who find its art style and rooms too "samey-samey" looking. Likewise, it is a very hard game, with some bosses who just seem supergifted LOL.
Nevertheless, it seems like it flew under the radar to some people, even if it was rated mostly good.
I recommend this one, even better if it's on sale.
I enjoyed this game a whole bunch and look forward to whatever the devs come up with next.
@HarmanSmith for sure flew under the radar for a lot of people.
