In addition to a new trailer for AI: The Somnium Files - nirvanA Initiative, Spike Chunsoft has also released a new demo for Implausible Industries' new spooky-themed turn-based action game, Research and Destroy.
This demo should be available to download now from the Switch eShop and Nintendo's website and comes packed with the tutorial and the first mission of the game. The full game includes both local and online co-op support. Note: The demo is currently available in North America.
Here's a bit more about it, courtesy of Spike Chunsoft:
"All-new strategic shooting powered by Super Science. RESEARCH and DESTROY (RAD) is a turn-based action game with simultaneous local or online co-op. Take control of three brilliant Super Scientists as you RESEARCH and develop strange new weapons and gadgets to DESTROY the Supernatural hordes that have all but crushed humanity."
You can pick up the full game from the Switch eShop for $19.99 / £16.74 or your regional equivalent. Have you tried out the demo yet? What are your initial impressions? Tell us down below.

Looks like an interesting game, will it get a review?
"Why is 'Free Demo' in quotes?" wondered every person who read the headline of this article.
@accc Yep only reason I'm here. Made me think it was some sort of trap.

Has a demo ever been paid, I wonder?
@Yosher 20 years or so ago you'd get a disc attached to a magazine full of demos. The magazine wasn't regularly priced. It was $12-15 (which is roughly the equivalent of $25 today). So in that case you were paying for the demo.
Circa 2010-2012, when multiple developers/publishers were exploring how far they could fleece the customer (think Bethesda x Valve attempting to charge money for TES mods) other companies tried to charge money for demos.
Here is one from Konami: https://www.siliconera.com/konami-will-release-a-terror-of-the-stratus-demo-but-youll-have-to-pay-for-it/
well look at that…Splitscreen local multiplayer.
Played the demo. Trying to aim with that timer is quite frustrating, to me. Granted, I'm not a turn-based game liker. So, you may want to try for yourself. It's a great looking game, otherwise.
