A former Nintendo manager has joined Xbox to become 'Director of Quality' for the Forza franchise. Heather Gearreald worked at Nintendo of America for nearly 5 years as its 'Quality Assurance Manager' and 'Software Development Manager', before announcing her move to Turn 10 Studios via LinkedIn.
As reported by our sister-site Pure Xbox, her duties will cover both the mainline Forza Motorsport series alongside the more arcade-focused Forza Horizon spin-off.

Some of Gearreald's accomplishments with Nintendo include standardising and modernising testing processes globally, launching the 'MySupport Dashboard' on Nintendo's website, and launching an internal application to be utilised by Nintendo's customer support teams, amongst many others.
It's a shame to lose such talent, but we're confident Gearreald's skills will be put to very good use over at Turn 10 Studios; we wish her all the best in her new role!
Let us know in the comments what you make of Gearreald's accomplishments and move over to Xbox.

No loss, someone on the internet told me Nintendo's games are bad and lack magic lately so this is great news for Nintendo fans. Not neutral or meaningless.
Droppin’ banana peels in Forza - make it happen Heather! Nothing gets past QA without a few blue shells.
you will be treated better with Microsoft than you are with Nintendo
I see this as a good thing for Forza Horizon series. (not a criticism of forza horizon.)
Tagline should've read "Nintendo's loss, Xbox's boss"
I mean, I'm sure we can all live with a drop in quality of Switch software. As long as the guy in charge of stability stays, we should be fine.
Good luck to her. Hopefully she improves the Forza games because I find drivatars irritating. I would like to see a proper A.I again when playing by myself.
The repercussions of this loss will surely be earth-shattering for NOA.
Xbox need all the help they can get
…thought this was Xbox Life? No such thing as Nintendo Life, master clickbait site!
Well, good luck to her.
Anyways, I'm hoping whatever qualm NoA has gets sorted out soon.
The thing I don't like about Forza horizon is there's no real progression to it & it seems like there's a new barn find rumour every 2 minutes
So is Heather literally crossing the road to her new job?
The NOA offices are right next door to Microsoft.
How will Nintendo ever get over such a loss.
