Following on from last week's Tetris 99 update, Nintendo has now announced a brand new themed event. Sure enough, it's one based on the recent Switch release, Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

This event will begin later this week on 22nd April and will run through until 25th April. If you decide to join in on the fun, you'll be able to unlock a special Kirby theme.

"To participate, any Nintendo Switch Online member* just needs to play the Tetris 99 online mode during the event period. Players will earn event points based on their placement in each match. Once players have accumulated a total of 100 event points, a new theme will unlock, featuring background art, music and Tetrimino designs inspired by the Kirby and the Forgotten Land game."

In addition to this, previous Kirby themes will also be available for one in-game ticket each until 30th April. This includes the themes for Kirby Fighters 2 and Super Kirby Clash:
