Whether your cooking would make Gordon Ramsay quit the industry in horror or you fancy yourself the master of all things culinary, there's always more to learn when it comes to the kitchen — and Chef Life: A Restaurant Simulator wants to teach you all there is to know.
Largely focused on French cuisine — your cordons bleu and your croques monsieurses — Chef Life tasks you with growing a local café into a Michelin-starred restaurant, thanks to the support of the actual Michelin Guide. You'll have to hone your chopping, your grilling, your baking, your mixing, and even your plating to earn the coveted glittery accolades, as well as managing a kitchen and its staff.
Chef Life will be sliding onto your Switch like a gorgeously medium-rare hunk of boeuf on October 6th, alongside PS4/5, Xbox One, Series X|S, and PC. Sacré bleu.

Graphics kinda make it look like a low budget porn game but hey, I love food so if it’s good then why not.
....The faces freak me out.
The character models remind me of Immortals Fenyx Rising but I don't know why
The guy standing next to the pot looks pretty confused, as if he has no idea how he got there.
Weird, I like food AND video games, seems I’m the target audience for this one. Color me intrigued. I’m gonna freak out if I read they’re making a game about puppies and scotch next.
See that guy with the cold stare next to the cooking pot?
Please don't ask him what's in the cooking pot.
@nessisonett That is suspiciously specific, but maybe you're right.
As far as in-game food goes, I like how it looks based on these screenshots and video. It has a shiny/glisten kind of effect that makes it look like actual food. Cooking Simulator's food looks like hunks of chalk or cement in the shape of food.
Compared to that, I'd say it looks pretty good.
So is there going to be motion controls for chopping or anything? Or will it be “push A to chop carrots” and you have a higher probability of chipping correctly as you gain experience? I’ll say I’m skeptical at best until further gameplay information is revealed (skeptical that it’s just a money grab with the Michelin name than a game that’s actually enjoyable).
When I saw Michelin, I thought this was a car tire-approved game. Very disappointed.
Looks interesting.
Can I make a failed dish?
@DioBrando You're not wrong. The tire company did indeed launch the whole Michelin star system. I can imagine Gordon shouting, "This chicken is raw! And it tastes like rubber."

But seriously, if I can pick up tips from it, I might be interested in this.
Will keep an eye on it. Would love a good cooking simulator on Switch. I know there's one literally called "Cooking Simulator," but it looks kinda...generic. Is it any good? I always see it on sale for like 2 bucks and at the top of the eShop charts.
I really enjoyed Order Up! on 3DS. It'd be cool to get a port or sequel to that game on Switch.

"Looks a mess, but is bloody delicious."
