Well, here's a surprise - the Neo Geo Pocket Color title Big Bang Pro Wrestling is now available on the Switch eShop. This title was originally released in 2000 exclusively in Japan.
Here's the rundown, courtesy of SNK's official website:
It's about to pop off! Muscle-bound wrestlers take the stage for a bombastic all-out brawl!
-Easy controls allow you to pull off sick and devastating special moves from the push of a button!
- 10 fighters to choose from including fledging newbies, masked wrestlers, and hulking heavyweights! The ring is calling you!
- Each wrestler comes with their own personalized Finishing Move. Fulfill the proper conditions and let it rip to win the fight!
- Change up the rules with exciting modes like Coffin Death Match where your goal is to toss your opponent into a coffin. Or, try to steal away the reward in Reward Death Match to really stick it to your opponent!
Once again, this game is available now, and will set you back $7.99 / €7.99 (or your regional equivalent). Will you be adding this Neo Geo Pocket Color game to your Switch library? Tell us down in the comments.

Even if I don't really care about this particular game, it's still really nice to see the NGP library come back. I just hope that these are doing well enough for Bamco to be taking notes, and do something with the Wonderswan. That one has such a weird library, and at least some of it deserves to come back in some form or another.
Keep those Neo Geo Pocket games coming.
I won't buy this one individually but if SNK follows the same pattern with their previous NGPC games of releasing several individually before dropping a collection, I'll probably pick up the collection.
Some more and we'll get the Collection vol. 2. This time we know that we have to wait and not buy them individually.
@alexybubble Namco: Now don't be silly and eat your 5th helping of Pac-man and Namco Museum Collections on Switch!
@Moroboshi876 Agreed. Really hoping for Biomotor Unitron.
The contrast between the look and semi-chill music of this retro game and the dramatic fire effects for the trailer is genuinely hilarious.
I'll be holding out for a second collection, but will totally get this eventually one way or another.
OMG this game costs like $700 CIB on eBay!!

this is lovely to see, but at this rate I'll hold out for Neo Geo Pocket Color Selection Vol. 2
This actually looks great. I'm really hoping for a NGPC Collection Vol.2 release. Also really hoping they can do a deal with Sega to get Sonic on there.
What I wouldn’t give for fire pro on the switch. Even the GBA ones would be something. May have to pick this up though. Something is better than nothing. Still have my eye on AAW after it gets a discount too.
@AG_Awesome 100% agree. We need Fire Pro!
It’s time to play the game.
Volume 2 of the collection probably isn't far off. I remember them having individual drops like this before they released it.
@BionicDodo It would be so perfect for the switch too. Don’t know why they can’t do something on it. They could even remake returns and do that! Sigh.
If only they'd port some games from the Neo Geo Pocket that AREN'T fighting games. Sonic the Hedgehog, anyone? The neo Geo pocket version of Sonic is still to this day the best handheld Sonic game ever made. I don't count Sonic Mania to be a handheld game mind you, even though you can play it on the switch or steam deck. I'm talking about all the game gear ones and the GBA ones and the DS and 3DS ones. The NGP version is still the best ones.
Mind you I do love the Master System sonic games, and those ARE the game gear games, just the original versions. But the game gear has too much screen crunch, and it's blurry as hell on original hardware. So the original master system versions are much better.
Whereas the neo Geo pocket sonic game was built from the ground up for the neo geo pocket, it's not a port of a console game like the game gear ones were. So if has no problem with screen crunch and so on. It also uses some level art from the mega drive sonic games, but the actual level design (i.e. the layout) is all unique
So I'd love to see it ported to the switch. I mean Sega have ported sonic 1 about 8 or 9 times for fhe switch alone, let alone for other consoles also
This is great! The Fire Pro people are just setting money on fire by not providing a Switch port.
as close as you can get to Fire Pro without actually being Fire Pro. love it. but uh, a FPWW port soon please?
This actually looks really good and impressive for the system.
Definitely picking this up, looks and play better than WWE 2K22.
Where is Capcom with Saturday Night Slam Masters? They're otherwise perhaps the best publisher for making legacy games available.
