Cool. More shmups can only be a good thing. But at the same time I have over a hundred other shmups I could play on Switch. P.S. - With JanduSoft being the publisher, chances are good this will get a physical release down the road, either a retail release from JanduSoft themselves or a boutique release.
It looks quite promising but your ship seems a tad small.
Well I'd certainly HOPE it would be 60fps, it looks like ass.
What is a chump itch? Doesn't sound like something I want to scratch!
Anyhoo, first impression is everything is so small for no discernable reason.
@GrailUK To me, it looks like being zoomed out further will make co-op play more manageable.
@aaronsullivan You could fit another 2 players easy on that screen! Yeah, I know what you mean. I just hope there are some attack patterns or terrain hazzards that use that space effectively without over cluttering the screen otherwise I'm going to feel like I'm playing pool on a snooker table (if that makes sense.) You could easily focus on the right side of the screen and miss something next to you. We'll see. It just doesn't seem...comfy for want of a better word.
Nice old-school vibes, I might give it a shot.

I've seen in your comments that you're an avid shmup fan and lately I've been interested in dipping my toes in the genre. What 3 or so games would you recommend I try out?
Will wait for Andros dunos 2 thanks.
@TheRealMr_Carpainter I'm very happy to help. There's so many good ones to choose from but some ones to get started with are..
Eschatos - It's incredible, one of the best I've ever played. It's easy to get into and there is nothing else quite like it.
Tengai - Just a fantastic shmup with great theme, graphics and music. Nothing complicated, just good challenging fun and fairly cheap.
Rolling Gunner - This is a fairly modern shmup. It's closer to bullet hell and gets extremely challenging but it's unique mechanics and scoring system make it super addictive. It's one of my favourites for sure.
Gynoug - It's a Megadrive classic. Like Tengai, fairly straightforward but with a great theme and music. And the port is really well done, with lots of options. It can be had for pretty cheap.
R-Type Dimensions EX - 2 all time classics looking and sounding better than ever. They're tough but it's R-Type. You can't go wrong. Pretty cheap as well.
If I'm to recommend just three, I'd say go with Eschatos, Rolling Gunner and Tengai. There may be technically better shmups like the Cave ones but they're tough going, especially being new to the genre. Those 3 I listed I reckon are perfect ones to get started with. Cave can come later.
Check my list I made in the forums. I intend to update it with more games in the next few days.

@OorWullie heck ya to Gynoug. Bring over Battle Mania and I’ll be super impressed!
@OorWullie
Thanks! Very much appreciated!
