It's the start of another week, which for plenty of us means a return to work / school / whatever. We all have our background music of choice, but a good candidate for this week is now available courtesy of Steven Morris. They've created 'Kirby à la Mode', which recreates classic Kirby tracks with the goal of being as relaxing as possible.

You can listen at the top, and below is the tracklist and a bit more detail from Morris:

Kirby à la Mode Track List:

1. Green Greens (Kirby’s Dream Land)
2. Grape Garden (Kirby’s Adventure)
3. Rainbow Route (Kirby & the Amazing Mirror)
4. Butter Building (Kirby’s Adventure)
5. Pop Star (Kirby 64: The Crystal Shard)
6. Gourmet Race (Kirby Super Star)
7. King Dedede (Kirby’s Dream Land)
8. Ripple Field (Kirby’s Dream Land 3)
9. Sand Canyon (Kirby’s Dream Land 3)
10. Rick the Hamster (Kirby’s Dream Land 2)

Each arranged track is arranged in a combination of chilled-out, relaxing yet eclectic and harmonically rich styles with a focus on acoustic instruments. Green Greens and Ripple Field appear in a bossa nova style, Gourmet Race is featured as a slowed down & contemplative yet condensed segue, King Dedede is in a country & western style, and the desert inspired melodies of Sand Canyon are emphasized with electric sitar and various percussion including an udu. Other tracks typically employ finger-style acoustic guitar as well a wind ensemble section.

We spoke to Steven Morris last year, too, learning more about his 'Bossa De Hyrule' project.

Enjoy!
