One of the nicest guys on YouTube and within the Pokémon TCG community is Leonhart. He's got around 1.58 million subscribers, so you might have watched at least one of his videos if you are into the trading card game.
He's an individual who loves to give back to the community that's given him so much over the years, and he's also a very charitable person - helping raise awareness about all sorts of causes. This weekend though, he's taking it to the next level, with his "90s pop up shop" - stocked by his very own vintage collection of Pokémon cards, valued at over $500,000.

"I'm so nervous and hope it goes well, however, my dream was to give the World a chance to open vintage packs, but not have to pay crazy prices for them; this will truly be the craziest event in Pokemon history!!!"
While it does cost to attend this event located in Dallas, Texas (note: tickets have already sold out), trainers in attendance - or at least the ones who got in early enough - will score vintage Pokémon card packs to open on a live stream. There'll also be some special guests - including "other creators" and even the original voice of Ash Ketchum:
We'll let Leonhart explain more in the video below. There's also an FAQ over on the official event page.
Is anyone here attending this event? Let us know in the comments. And if you haven't heard about Leonhart before - check out this video.

Dude you could make so much money if you sold on eBay. Who cares about the children, think about your wallet./s
I’m into the trading card game. I’ve never heard of him. I’ve never seen any of his videos.
I used to absolutely love this guy when I was younger, so happy he's still doing really good
If he doesn't have the actual Pokemon companys support on this.., im suprised they haven't shut this event down since admission is charged.
@Travisemo007
He bought the cards he owns them. This isn’t like selling the rom of a video game. More like selling a used physical game. Pokémon company can’t do a thing about it.
@blindsquarel he's not just selling his cards tho. This is an event with more to it. That he's charging admission for. All about pokemon. Well color me suprised anyway lol.
@Travisemo007
Again this is not the same thing as making money off of a mod or selling roms. This is not a video game.
I cannot watch him. Too fake in my opinion.
Imo all these TCG channels are not fun at all since they only care about the value of the card instead of the game itself.
@blindsquarel He is making profit off the Pokémon IP tho. If they could, then Nintendo/TPC would have absolutely shut it down.
Idiots, he can just do this event legitimate. Pokemon TCG or the Pokemon Company won't do *****.
@Travisemo007 They cracked down on copyright abuse. They don't go after these because this guy isn't using official branding for his event. He's selling access and pokemon cards but he's not really infringing calling it "leonharts 90s pop-up".
I think this is probably a good show that TPC and Nintendo aren't blindly going after people. Everyone they go after tend to be those foolish enough use trademarked terms and logos in their event or games.
Like that Pokemon (TM) Party that was reported a few years back.
This guy seems nice. Can we focus on him now instead of that awful human being you've had a few articles on in the past?
@blindsquarel I don't see how "rom" or "game" relation makes a difference, It's a trademark copyright profit thing imo. But ok.
@Dr_Lugae interesting points.
@dBackLash
Dr_Lugae explains it much better than I could in his comment. But no they are not in any risk of getting in trouble.
