It seems another digital game has gone missing - this time it's the 2018 3DS eShop title, Dodge Club Pocket.
Not long after this was discovered, James Montagna - one of the individuals who worked on the series (who is also a director and game designer at WayForward), explained how the game had been delisted due to "boring contractual paperwork stuff" - rather than anything "scandalous or exciting".
The team is now going to "explore" the possibility of a Nintendo Switch release:
Here's a bit more about the eShop release and a look at the mobile version of the game (note: video contains flashing colours):
"The underground ravers of Dodge Club invite YOU to play in their pixel dance party. Dodge the red hot fireball and electric spark in a variety of unique minigame challenges, each one more wild than the last!"
Did you purchase this game on 3DS? Would you be interested in a Switch release? Comment below.

Digital distribution is the future they say, in the words from Shao Kahn's own mouth, don't make me laugh.
The original Dodge Club on WiiU I enjoyed much better but I'm glad I have this on my 3DS. I know what I'll be playing soon.
@blindsquarel The devs still poured their heart and soul into it. Being snooty doesn’t really add anything of substance.
Well, here's to a Switch version indeed, but once again it seems like "boring contractual paperwork" leaves people too bored to make the delistment public until post factum.🙄
@Specter_of-the_OLED The problem here is not digital distribution as it is, the problem is like usual, legal issues.
Videogame companies need to keep everything simple when making deals, making sure games won't leave digital stores thanks to expired contracts and stuff like that, digital downloads are a huge part of their profits, yet they keep making contracts that when they expire, the game has to leave stores.
Sure, you can argue that those things will never stop existing and we need physical media, however, not even physical media is safe anymore, because now, even if you buy a physical game, you still need to make downloads to play the complete game, the good version of a game, or just play at all, if the download servers are gone, your physical copy won't save you, and now, everything is made with cheap plastic that rots and depending on where you buy, digital downloads can be even more future-proof than physical media.
The only way to fully preserve videogame history is piracy.
The game wasn’t that good to be honest. I really didn’t enjoy it. It was a valiant attempt, but I think the different game types weren’t really engaging and fun in the same way that say, dodging in a bullet hell is.
But hey hope the dev comes back with something bigger and better. It was a valiant first game release.
I was going to grab this game but its visuals during gameplay are way too suggestive. Those pixels are too sharp.
