Launching tomorrow on Nintendo Switch is Super Mombo Quest, a precision platformer that blends challenging gameplay with cutesy heroes.
Set in an interconnected Metroidvania-style world, the game will have you exploring hundreds of different areas, each with challenging enemies to conquer and plenty of platforming to pull off in style. Developer Orube Game Studio tells us that the game "mixes Super Meat Boy challenges with the cuteness of Kirby, with combat inspired by Shovel Knight and Sonic."
Bounce and stomp through an enormous interconnected world, doing some intense acrobatics and getting huge combos! A superfast precision platformer that mixes up a Metroidvania world with classic Arcade mechanics.
There are collectibles to be found for those who like to explore every last nook and cranny, and there's also a focus on combos; some enemies will chase you, others will shoot you, and others will fly around, but pulling off combos can help you to defeat them as you speed through each level.
The game's launching on Switch tomorrow, 4th November, although pricing has yet to be revealed. Make sure to keep an eye on the eShop if you're thinking of picking it up.

I think I'll put this on my wishlist, I might pick it up at some point or another. Looks fast, fun and colourful!
Good to see, this genre is highly underrepresented on the Switch.
@dluxxx Agreed, I need more than one new Metroidvania a week
Could do with less tongue. Perhaps if the price is right
@Fazermint Speak for yourself, I could use more tongue. Oh, and the game looks fun too
That's either a Gengar, or a mutated Ninji with it's All-Stars/Advance design. One of the two, maybe both, I don't know.
Probably at least better than the disappointing Super Meat Boy Forever.
Nice so glad it's not an endless running platformer.
Too fast moving to be described as cute in my book. It looks decent, but I'm not sure how much ongoing interest I hold in the Super Meat Boy-esque sub-genre.
Is it a tastebud on the loose?
I ain’t even gonna lie, I’m ALL about this one for some reason! That pixel art & animation is stunning and it looks fun as hell, I think I’ll be snagging this tomorrow!
This game is looking good and it came out of nowhere
Reminds me of Celeste and Super Meat Boy
