If running about and getting hit with real-life Nerf pellets sounds a bit too exhausting, you might want to check out Nerf Legends, a new first-person shooter that lets you shoot things to your heart's content while staying firmly seated on your sofa. Something that should be a selling point of any video game, let's be honest.
The game will have you taking on a variety of blaster-wielding opponents as you shoot your way through combat arenas, pulling off trick shots as you go. There's a single-player story mode to work through, but you can also jump online to compete with others if you prefer. Here's a feature list to tell you more:
- Intense single-player campaign featuring a variety of extreme enemies, boss battles and challenges across 19 out-of-this-world locations.
- Pull off amazing trick shots with 15 authentic NERF blasters from the Mega, Ultra and Elite lines, including new releases from 2021!
- Supercharge your blasters with power-ups like magnetic pull darts, push darts, seeker darts, and slow darts to change the tide of battle.
- Customize your character and blasters with upgradeable perks and skins.
- Online multiplayer featuring 4v4 team-based and 8-player free-for-all modes lets you test your blasting skills in exciting matches against friends and rivals!
You'll find it on the eShop for £39.99 (it's actually marked down to £31.99 for the remainder of today), or at select retailers if you're after a physical copy.
As ever, we'd love to know whether you're thinking of picking this one up so fire away in the comments below.

Nerf meets fortnite....ehh nerf.
This seems like a totally generic, uninspired game that exactly no one asked for. Bargain-bin crap made as an excuse to license the name.
It's a good trailer that shows the game and vibe off well, unfortunately, it's all so 'by the numbers'. Will keep an eye out for a review of the single player. It could be fun if they bring something to the table.
I'll keep waiting for reviews on this. The old school Nert Arena on PC was amazing fun. Just Unreal Tournament with Nerf guns
So love my FPSs!!!! Waiting on the review for this. I would be down to run through the single player campaign.
Oh look, shovelware.
They're already planning a balance patch.
Let's just say, in the next version not many weapons are getting buffed.
Wow, this looks... bad.
I like the art style, I got so tired of fortnite but I loved the way it looked. Too many shooters are so bland looking going for "hyper realistic"
This could be a fun pick up. Not every shooter has to reinvent the wheel. I liked the simpler days of halo 3
Why does everyone keep saying it looks so bad? It looks decent just a little uninspired.
@CovidBarbie
Excuse me, shovelware ?
Well.. it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would be from reading the title
Stop me if you've heard this one
A developer with a completed generic unreleased FPS and a publisher with a licence to use Nerf that's about to expire walk into a bar ...
OMG FINALLY! Video games can be done now since we just hit the peak. Shut down all the studios. Mankind, we did it!
Crossffiiiiyyaaahhh!!
Oh wait, wrong 90s thing. I do wonder if there will be patches to nerf the nerf guns though.
I would love a review.
