With the digital Gamescom event gearing up we're seeing plenty of intriguing games from those attending virtually to showcase their games. One that's popped up today, while also confirming that it'll feature in the upcoming 'Awesome Indies' showcase that we'll host here on this very site, is The Amazing American Circus.
Developed by Juggler Games and published by Klabater, as you can see in the trailer above it's a deck-building game, but with a much lighter tone than a number of its genre contemporaries. It's all about gathering unique performers and touring America, all with the goal of rising to the top of the circus landscape.
It looks intriguing and we rather like it's setting; you can see some blurb from its Steam page below:
Roll up and play a deck building game like no other! Gather weird and wonderful performers, amaze audiences, explore Gilded Age America, and transform your run down circus into an entertainment empire. Play your cards right and you could claim the crown of greatest showman from P.T .Barnum...
It arrives on Switch and most other platforms on 16th September, so we don't have long to wait. Is this one for the wishlist?

Do love a good deckbuilding game and this certainly has a unique theme. I like that it’s not combat based but, entertainment.
Colour me interested.
Any game with deck building instantly gains a bit of my attention and this one looks really neat. A little quirky and different. Hopefully it's good.
Griftlands is a highly recommended Deck Builder. Surprised not to find a review for it on this site.
I'm not usually into deck building games, but the concept, setup, and aesthetic are all too charming to ignore!
Looks interesting. I am not big on deck building games, but this one looks good.
