Cris Tales has been on the agenda for a good while, and with a release date of 20th July we're not far off seeing how it stacks up. There's also a demo on the Switch eShop that is worth checking out.
A 'love letter to JRPGs' with time-bending mechanics, those that are all-in and want to get the fancy Collector's Edition (pictured above) now have better odds. Previously only confirmed for US, the Maximum Games store will also take pre-orders for Canada and across both Central and South America (excluding Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Venezuela). It's worth noting the small-print, though - "Buyers of the Collector’s Edition are responsible for additional costs related to shipping, customs clearance and value-added taxes."
The pricey but fancy edition is also now confirmed for Europe via Modus Games, with more details to be revealed soon.

I’m looking up and down the description to justify the price ($99.00) but can’t find one.
A standard release of the game is also available on the likes of Game.co.uk and Amazon for just £35 on all major platforms.
It has been for a while actually.
@Thwomp_Stomper Agreed, an awful lot of tat to inflate that price. If it was just the game, box and artbook I'd be more happy to dip in, of course if the price is rectified for such as well.
Looking closer, yeah, I agree that this isn't worth $99, especially since some of the content offered is just digital download, with the printed artbook apparently being shorter than the digital version.
@RupeeClock If the artbook is smaller that is a real shame. I'm a sucker for them, but then doesn't look like we would be able to get it on its own anyway.
Gonna just grab the standard for 35 quid, there's too many potential bangers releasing in July, man.
I hope this game is good. It looks very nice but I hope the story and mechanics aren't shallow and boring.
$100 is $60 more than I'm willing to spend.
Those lenticular cards though, very tempting.
Man, this game looks lovely. Hmm...not sure if I can bite
Man, I forgot this one! Another great-looking RPG for July, what a month!
@GrailUK try the demo (on the eShop) it's a very fun game.
I do want this, but that really is expensive. And besides that I have limited space for collectables. I might get it for $60 though.
@Thwomp_Stomper
It's pretty ok for 99$. I've seen way worse se/ce/le for that price. Remember the FF13 games that had 2 stickersheets and a tiny artbook for 109$.
Really looking forward to this game, will be grabbing it day 1.
That collector's edition is ridiculously overpriced for what's included.
@DanTheSausage I’ll agree to disagree on that lol with all do respect of course. I’ve also seen way worse but doesn’t make this any better. For me the demo left a lot to be desired so the price is even less appealing. Looks great graphics wise though.
With the massive fan base final fantasy has, Square Enix knows there are a couple 1000 fans who will buy the overpriced bundles no matter what it is. Just sell me that cute frog broh.
