Hot Wheels' latest crossover is with Beach Buggy Racing 2: Island Adventure - the kart racing game we described as a "surprisingly decent" alternative to the Mario Kart series.
In this latest DLC offer for the game, you can get 7 Hot Wheels vehicles, four brand new tracks, all-new missions, new achievements "and more" for $9.99 USD or your regional equivalent.
Seven legendary Hot Wheels cars: Rip Rod, Surf 'N Turf, Bone Shaker, Twin Mill III, Donut Drifter, Hotweiler and Loco Punk
If this isn't the kind of Hot Wheels experience you're seeking, the good news is Mattel is releasing Hot Wheels Unleashed - a standalone Hot Wheels game with the help of Milestone (known for Ride and various other racing games) this September.
Be sure to check out our full review if you're curious to learn more about Beach Buggy Racing 2 - we awarded it eight out of ten stars. Will you be trying out this Hot Wheels DLC? Leave a comment down below.

looks fun . but I personally miss Beetle adv. racing in the N64
it was a nice alternative to Mario kart. I would love to see EA do a remake. but doubt that will ever happen.
I know it's blasphemy but I think it holds up with the marios and sonics graphic and gameplay wise. With the first game the only thing that took me out of it is seeing the micro transactions even after buying the game. Still the case with this one? Or is this just on Android devices and not on Switch?
@THUNDERM00SE IIRC there aren't any microtransactions in the Switch version of the first game, nor are there any in the Switch version of the second game. Thank goodness, since the Android and iOS versions go too far.
I've really enjoyed both games on my Switch, enough to complete the first one, and I'm still clocking hours on the second one. Definitely worth the price, but if you're on the fence, I won't blame anyone for waiting on a sale.
This DLC adds some greatly wanted new tracks, as the second game's track roster is dominated by revised versions of the first game's tracks, adding only a few new ones. With the DLC, the track total is now 27.
@tntswitchfan68 I strongly disagree. That beetle n64 game CHUGGED. At least fps wise it was horrible. My sister had it and I couldn't stand it.
@Travisemo007 I never noticed.
