The Pokémon Company has released yet another trailer for New Pokémon Snap, this time showing off the game's gorgeous environments with more focus than ever before.
The five-minute clip dives deep into the Lental Region's oceans, pans across its forests and grasslands, and paints a pretty good picture of the experience that awaits when the game launches next week. It only seems to be available on Twitter at the moment (so the video quality isn't the best) but it's certainly worth a look regardless:
It was only last week that we were treated to another video for New Pokémon Snap which featured six minutes of gameplay footage. With only eight days to go until release, the hype is certainly building.
Are you looking forward to playing this one when it launches next Friday?

I am really looking forward to this game's release. It seems to be a really visually pleasing Pokemon game (then again so was the original).
I cannot wait to take a ton of pictures of various Pokemon in this game. Hopefully the sales will be good enough that The Pokemon Company ends up seeing a reason to make more games in the Pokemon Snap series.
Can't wait for next Friday!
Not watching this because I wanna be surprised as much as possible but I'm definitely excited!
In before somebody says this how sword and shield should have looked, totally ignoring the fact this is effect an on rails shooter.
More footage that goes to show good graphics that the Switch can handle. Hardware limitations isn't to blame for the sub-par animations that Game Freak brings us.
It's like playing a Pokémon version of National Geographic. Which is most likely the reason why they mostly only to use plant Pokémon or the once that resemble an animal.
Looks and feels like a mobile game to me. We're not in 1999 anymore. It should be F2P or cost like 20 euro.
This feels very ‘last gen’ to me... of course people never bought Pokemon games for the graphics, but when it’s 2021 I don’t expect grass to look like it’s been glued onto a smooth surface in clumps. None of this is ‘stunning’.
@dimi thank God you're wrong haha I don't want ads and microtransaction and every vapid, insulting ingredient that goes into making a mobile ftp mixed with my Pokemon Snap.
I'm getting this day one, and I'm excited to play it... but describing this latest trailer as "stunning scenery" is just embarassing.
As previous have mentioned, it does look heavily last-gen (mobile is perhaps a little harsh/extreme). It's nowhere near as good as it could have been in the looks department, but I'm confident the gameplay will be good and I'll be mostly playing handheld so that's OK.
I still find it a little odd that they are basically selling a "photo mode" from a game as it's own $60 game. Though not too odd since Nintendo sold not one but two "level editors" as games in SMM and SMM2 without the games. Though SMM2 did have the build the castle area so I'll excuse that one.
Some day I'll find a way to play this for a few hours. Maybe buy it for my godson as a Christmas gift.
Does anyone know why they don't have pre orders open for this on the nintendo store in the uk?
(the website also seems to be down currently)
I'm just waiting on how long it takes to beat it, and if it's 60 hours or so, then I'll buy it used. Otherwise I won't get it at all.
As someone with no nostalgia for the original, I don't think I get this game. Is it really just an on-rails adventure where you simply take pictures? I can see how this could be sort of relaxing if you're a big fan of the franchise, but it still blows my mind that this will be sold as a full-priced retail release.
Maybe I'm missing something, but oh well.
@ModdedInkling 🙄 this isn’t even close to the same type of game. I don’t even have time to explain how stupid that comment is.
@Snakesglowcaps
If you want stupid, talk to the people blaming hardware limitations for half the Switch games (which are at 30fps and not 60fps) made by Nintendo.
@dimi f2p? Sure dude everyone wants micro transactions and ads in their games font they?
@johnvboy I guess, but have you seen what MH Rise is capable of on Switch?
@ricklongo a lot of the gameplay is puzzle solving under the timed pressure of being on rails while trying to get a specific shot or open a branching path (kinda like Starfox 64 but way more interactions). I wish there was a demo for this one.
@ModdedInkling what does that even mean? And don’t like your own comments. Weak.
@Snakesglowcaps
You shouldn't really be going around making false accusations like that and calling people stupid. Someone else is liking my comments.
Wish mainline games looked half this good.
Man IDC what no one says. This game looks gorgeous. Some of yall are just too damn picky.
