Devolver Digital has brought some fantastic indie experiences to Switch over the years. Publishing acclaimed hits like GRIS, that streak look set to Carrion (I'm not sorry) into 2021. Alongside Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout and Card Shark, it has just announced Boomerang X is launching this Spring.
Confirmed through a press release, Devolver Digital has provided an overview of what to expect.
Upstate New York hipsters DANG! and airfoil enthusiasts Devolver Digital today announce Boomerang X, an action-packed FPB (First Person Boomeranger) will launch and subsequently return this Spring on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. To celebrate, the dynamic duo has revealed a brand new gameplay trailer.
Catapult yourself through the air, use the power drawn from fallen creatures to slow time, and cut through the swarms of dark beings with your razor-edge boomerang. Travel through once bustling locales, sacrificed to hide a myth, and descend the Godpath into the lost realms below. Cleanse these halls and ensure that whatever lies beneath doesn’t come back. “This is one boomerang you nerds can’t return,” commented Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker.
We don't have a more specific release date at this time but - barring any delays - it shouldn't be too long before we get our hands on this. If you've got a capable PC, you can download the demo now via Steam, which isn't currently available for Switch.

That looks promising.
Kudos to the video for jumping straight to gameplay, rather than making you wait through 30+ seconds of game title screen (like most game trailers).

I Played the demo on steam... I HIGHLY recommend it if you like super hot. very fun fast paced game.
If it wasn’t Devolver, I’d look right past this. They have a pretty good track record. So, I’ll keep an eye on it. Just wondering if there’s more to it than what was just shown. If that’s all there is to it, it could get stale quickly.
Oooh, has some Ghostrunner vibes, except it's published by Devolver Digital so i have renewed hopes for a good version of that game on Switch 😅. Ghostrunner is probably really fun on PC though, i don't wanna talk trash or anything.

My first thought was: Why does the mummy have Krull's Glaive (but it's missing a blade)? Obscure movie reference aside, this looks interesting. I respect Devolver Digital (I loved Gato Roboto) and I look forward to seeing a review of this.
Looks fun! And having Devolver Digital involved guarantees at least a certain level of quality. Actually, the high-flying movement and graphics reminded me a bit of a Blue Fire, which just released on Switch
I'll support just about anything Devolver Digital helps bring to market.
